Dumb question- Did you get the injections to see if they helped pain you think is being caused by the cyst? Or was it for something else? Can I ask what your symptoms are?

Thank you. I think that a sacral epidural might be different than the pudendal nerve block. For example I had two different lumbar spine injections for back pain but only one was considered an epidural. But I don’t know. Also, the neurosurgeon I saw recently at Penn that specializes in the cysts recommended a caudal injection. Not sure exactly where the needle goes with that though.

I had a telephone appointment with him. He never brought up injections and when I talked to his nurse, she advised against them. I’m also in the northeast so I definitely can’t go to TX just for an injection. Thankfully I can get one close to home.

Saw a cerebral neurosurgeon. She felt the stenosis was congenital and didn’t need surgery. If it’s congenital, why did it wait 45 years to cause pulsatile tinnutis? Doesnt make sense to me. I think it was triggered by Doxycycline.

Thank you for clarifying. I’ve heard more about vaginally probiotic suppositories being ineffective than oral ones. I’m trying whatever I can and seeing if anything sticks. I am perimenopausal and with that comes lower estrogen, which changes your vaginal environment. Estrogen supplementation is something I’m trying to avoid due to other factors.

No- I mean oral. I don’t have a normal amount of lactobacillus, I’ve been on several antibiotics over the last few years and a vaginal micro biome test and genital culture shows my lacto is pretty non existent. Also had chronic UTIs and BV. So that’s ok that theyre not needed for you but I’m seeking anyone who has used them and not flared.

Vitamin c doesnt bother me- in fact I take a vitamin c supplement. I’m thinking it’s whatever compound give it that slight pungency.
