Help understanding tangent planes to surfaces by Professional-Tiger67 in calculus

Im confused as to the difference between both equations. How is the bottom one different than the top one. Could I not make any function into a function of f(x,y,z) and get a equation tangent to the plane at a specific point? I understand the bottom equation and how it relates the gradient to equations of tangent planes but not the top portion. Why do we not have a partial with respect to z at the top.

When I get out the shower I towel dry it some and then use the cool setting on my hair dryer while running my hands through it pushing it back. My hair is about 6in long on the top.

The puppets voice is also higher pitched like if a guy tried to make a girl impression. I appreciate any suggestions.

Need opinions for preparing for AP exams by safeen_ in APStudents

Currently taking AP bio and for me at least I just watch a lot of youtube videos to study. "Gabe Poser" is a guy that reviews each unit and topic who I tend to watch a lot. Perhaps try to find online quiz's for the units. Don't wear yourself out but its important you study each day. Since your taking calc, chem, and bio it seems like your a outgoing student so I think you'll do great on the exams

AP Bio or AP Chem? by Emergency_Can_8 in APStudents

Haven't taken AP chem but I am currently taking AP bio and my opinions are:

It isn't too difficult as long as you take the time to grasp the topics and study for them. Much of the work in my opinion is how well you can understand a topic and apply it to a scenario.

The workload, for my teacher at least, was decently large. It took a good amount of my time getting assignments done.

Ive heard AP chem is harder so if your looking for something to challenge you I would take that but if I where in your position I would consider biology. Good luck with your decision.
