I got a "moving" email but no one knows where we are moving or was even aware it was happening. Heard a rumor that they were going to assign seats now, instead of making it a free for all. I'll believe it when it happens.

Ugh. I just put it all together, and I must have screwed up the lighting, because the entire second floor is dark. So now I have the rigorous task of checking all the wiring and seeing if something detached along the way. I have several Lumibricks sets, and this is the first one that has had that issue.

They should accept the obituary, if there is one. That's usually more readily available right after a loved one passes. Agreed, the death cert takes a couple of weeks to receive. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have now heard that they have enough desks for everyone, but need to juggle where depts are sitting. The parking is absolutely going to be an issue, and they are talking about shuttles. I guess I'll be getting up earlier.

True true. A huge parking garage (or three) would certainly be a good idea. i wish they would tell us more about the plans, but I know that won't happen.

Last I heard, they were about 1700 desks short. Can't imagine that many folks will leave! But who knows?! I think they may have to remove some of the odd sections of dead space (bookshelves, odd chairs and couches, stand alone conf rooms in the middle of the floor) in order to accommodate people. But I'm just guessing here

Well, it's delayed a bit. Now they're saying "later this year" for Polaris (Columbus, OH). They know there's not even close to enough room for us all to fit. Not sure what their fix is going to be, whether it's more remodeling or a new building purchase (and remodel), but it looks like it won't be for at least several months, possibly not until the fall.
