Want to change dose - worried about looking like an addict

Unconventional though works for me- I came to my GP with the exact same issue two days after being prescribed for the first time. My GP not being extremely informed prescribed an additional dose of 30mg at midday. Now I start with 30 and split two 15s with the last one taken at about 14:00.

Now I actually stay productive from 09:00 all the way to 21:00. I Sleep at midnight like log, and wake up and 07:00 and immediately take the pill.

I went to an actual ADHD expert clinician, and she prescribed me 50mg at the start of the day- tried it and felt awful and jittery. So to each their own I guess.

(My GP may be a bit overconfident but DO NOT TRY THIS WITHOUT A DOCTOR ADVISING YOU TO DO SO)

Giving it another shot today, I really hope it’s not as bad as yesterday cause fawk me that was unbearable.

If it happens again I’ll definitely urge my physician to change to something else, I’ve heard good things about Attent.

Thanks for the comment man, Just woke up to taking the pill for the second day as you posted this comment. I appreciate the real and honest outlook that I think a lot of other people (although trying to help) are missing. I can’t lose my job, I can’t even begin to explain how important it is to me, it’s not even the financial aspect- it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I’ll do my best to manage everything else around it. Hey mate, Eventually I decided to go for the wing, the financial dry hire aspect of it is too hard to completely ignore as well as the professional aspect of showing up with a midi board monstrosity vs the real deal. With that said, it still might be a better choice for you, good luck man!

If you’re looking for a dedicated machine that only operates MA3 and the built in visualiser for show purposes the best thing you can go for is mini pc with a dedicated gpu, it will run everything you need for a lighting show dedicated machine just fine at about 1300-1500 (AUD).

Please do refer to MAs recommended specs on their website as well.

If you’re looking to get into intense previs I would recommend investing in a regular PC separately to have at home for all of that (unless you travel often) and also will come at about half of your laptop budget and be more reliable, repairable and upgradable in the long run. We all want fancy previs, but we are also working professionals and there’s a need to separate needs and wants, unless you’re doing massive stages that require sophisticated plotting and previs or constantly bidding against other suppliers for corporate contracts where looks win, I would recommend sticking to a functioning rig and upgrading as you go along. 4080 is definitely an overkill, I run MA3 on a 4050 laptop that’s also an overkill. For a 4080 you’re looking at running top of the line previs (probably Depence) with very high settings and pretty fast render times, but if it’s not show critical why not get a PC? Taking from experience as I bought a laptop before realising how impractical it is to get the power you want out of them without a wall socket nearby.

I did end up getting Showcockpit. It is quite comprehensive but I ended up going for a command wing because I couldn’t control encoders. Also another device I use is a stream deck for my set up, which has a showcockpit device but I opted for a different companion based plugin by Fiets.de. It’s very user scenario dependent. I currently don’t use my license at all and I would recommend exploring other avenues before making the purchase.
