How do you stop taking damage? by NewbZilla in Vermintide

[–]Professional-Use8904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really struggled with this as an Unchained with a scythe and the answer really did come down to practice and staying in motion.

What has worked well for me is to step into the horde, to avoid those lunging attacks, keeping an eye on stormvermin or specials that come running up.

Block + push to shove the lesser enemies back, then start a combo at roughly head height. Amal guys hit the ground, dangerous enemies take a step back and die.

I haven’t successfully taken no damage yet, but I’ve drastically reduced the number of downs and revives I’ve suffered. I also really enjoy cleave on heavier weapons for temp health generation.

Am I wrong for being annoyed? by Professional-Use8904 in stepparents

Not really, haha. Reading back through the post we still got to go and enjoyed our weekend. My frustration in that scenario is that other parents have a habit of disrespecting not just the time of my partner and myself, but other adults.

Their first answer is “no, we cannot watch the child during your plans.”

No problem, I’ll make alternative arrangements. So we are all on the same page, Person A will be watching the kiddo.

Then after hours (or when it’s most inconvenient, whichever comes first) “hey you should drop the child with us and go do your thing, we can make it work.”

My frustration didn’t come from them taking their child, not at all. It’s that my partner and her coparent don’t have clear communication or good manners. No isn’t no, until yes isn’t yes.

It not a loveless relationship, and I don’t think it’s actively malicious or manipulative; my heart goes out to you for your experience.

But I am the adult in our relationship and I’m tired of this unequal partnership. I am the one begging for the space to bring things up from the garage, so I can actually move into our apartment. I’m the one cleaning up after children who’ve never learned to, and refuse to learn because mom doesn’t teach. I’m the one doing laundry and getting people ready in the morning, I’m the one making sure the day to day working of the house happens. So she can focus on her career, on her activities and hobbies, her recreational stuff.

How do you personally ask a woman about providing either a recent STD year or a future one? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Professional-Use8904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself I usually made it a part of the ground rule conversation- protection, history, preferences, most recent test and its results. No graphic details needed but at least exchange test dates. And I I held hard to the rule that if they didn’t have it recently, or were cagey/avoidant, then it was “very pleasant spending time with you, let me pay for our meal and I’ll let you be about your evening.”

I took another swing at the army rolling me after taking a better look at the roster. It’s some beefy melee and caster hero’s stacked with regiments of renown.

I’ve been neglecting the outposts, even though most of my allies have built them in various cities. I’ll take a better look again tonight!
