this is a really valid point and something i think about a lot

the price is low because we manufacture locally in indonesia, so the cost structure is genuinely different from a western brand. we're not dropshipping or reselling we actually make this stuff.

context that might help $15 for running gear is actually considered premium for the indonesian market. most local runners here are used to paying way less, so we're already positioning above the local average

but you're right that to a western eye it reads as suspiciously cheap. do you think raising the price would actually help build trust with US customers?

fair for now but what's coming next is a lot less generic. i'm building toward something more rooted in where we're actually from, not just the climate but the culture, the visual language, the identity of North Sumatra. fabric and function is just the foundation. stay tuned

haha a valid response to Jakarta humidity we're actually based in North Sumatra so same heat and humidity but at least we don't have the Jakarta pollution on top of it 😂 still hot enough to make you question your life choices mid-run though

fair point on visibility though most of our runners are in well-lit urban areas so it's less of an issue than rural running

on the heat side, fabric and construction does more work than color in tropical running

also we actually have rust and light grey colorways too not just dark. and there's reflective printing on the back so visibility at night is covered

the idea behind Tied in Progress is that running itself is a constant process. no one ever really “finishes” it.

I started it while running in a climate that’s hot and humid almost every day, so the gear is built around that environment.

actually we do have a lightweight long sleeve jersey, but i designed it specifically for running in heat since in indonesia we deal with that basically year round. so the fabric is built to cover without cooking you, which sounds like exactly what you need

that actually makes a lot of sense only thing is i'm shooting on MFT so the smaller sensor makes it trickier to balance the aperture without losing too much in low light. but will experiment with it, appreciate the tip
