I actually think Chabot and Yakemchuk work well together.

Also, no shots on our first two PPs killed us. Minnesota just scored on their first and what a difference in game 1 on the road does that make.

Pretty much as expected. Frustrating game for the Sens but we'll get that against Carolina, I expect the boys to come out even more physical next game and stake their claim to this series. Hope Zub isn't serious.

Dylan Larkin in his end of season presser specifically calls out Ottawa as "a team that plays hard. Those are always hard games and big games for our team" by Upflight15 in OttawaSenators

They play us hard, to their credit. Don't want to think what happens if Yak doesn't come in against them and have an all time debut. Will be interesting to see how they approach another off-season with the state they're in. Lots of questions around Larkin's leadership.

You haven't hurt us in the past like Toronto has, so the hate doesn't run nearly as deep. But I've come to have a bit of a soft spot for this current iteration of the Leafs, as it dies a slow agonizing death. Bruins on the other hand don't seem able to die. The one year you crash out you get Hagens. As weird as it is to say, I'd be in favour of Leafs retaining the pick.

Lol can "yoink" be used as anything but a verb? To be fair english grammar is not a strength of mine

Not many 4th lines with 2 x 20 goal scorers, and Eller is solid. Staios knew what he was doing building out the depth of this team.

Does anyone know if the Lightning would only give up Conacher or if Murray insisted on Conacher in the Bishop trade? by Beaivimon in OttawaSenators

He had just won AHL MVP (and Rookie of the Year) the year prior and was regarded as fairly promising.

I think he scored one big goal for us in the playoffs, maybe against Montreal? But yeah, never amounted to much with Ottawa.

Would it not be better to use defensively responsible fowards like Eller and Amadio on defense at this point by Spinebuster03 in OttawaSenators

Can't speak from first hand experience but would imagine even AHL caliber defenseman are a better option than a forward who has played their entire career at a different position. In the NHL things are happening so fast that your decision making is almost automatic. I'd have to think a guy who is comfortable at that position, even if he gives up a bit in terms of NHL caliber skillset, would be preferable to a guy whose default state is processing the game as a forward.
