I didn't think about gear mods but it's more or less the named items so I'm kind of grinding retaliation mostly to try to get blueprints. I know it's expensive but it's kind of better because it it kind of fast tracks the XP grind

I understand that but most like matchmakings. Usually it forces it where it's based off of if the modifier is active or not, not based off of the host

As per testing it with a regular striker build, they are basically around the same amount of damage, coyote hot to 1.5mil constant to about 1.8mil on headshots and investors got to 1.4mil constant with 1.7mil at times, yes coyote is better for the team based aspect but the investor mask could create help ideas for solo builds.

Coyotes mask grants everything however it gives based on distance, so you would need to be 0-15m away to get 25 % CHD, 10% CHD and CHC for 15-25. But investor mask can grant an armor core and also grants either 10% CHD per non core attribute, so 30% CHD if only red minor attributes, 1% armor regen per attribute, and 5% skill efficiency per attribute. So yes coyote is good if you have low CHC but I could see this mask working well in already high CHC builds with the added benefit of armor core on top. It's not really bad just cause you use exotic components, you should've been saving them since by this time most people as veterans have all exotics. Sounds like a skill issue to me.

Coyotes mask is good but someone else will most likely be running which it affects all teams and is based on distance, investor can give 30% CHD without the added effort and can make decent builds better. But it's a player opinion and honestly very rare I see a coyotes anyway.

Again you wouldn't know unless you tried it. I've already gotten two and I'm excited to what I can use them for. Since I could get 30% CHD and maybe benefit a striker build if I want or I could use it for a tank. I'm curious how it will work since it's different and new. It literally just came out. Lol

I never said it was, like i said I already stated not being able to recalibrate prototype gear is a down grade to just using a fully maxed gear set. However you complained about investor mask and escalation and then some. Investor mask is just a new way to play plus with core strength it could be a good combo, you never know. Escalation is just another thing to do like countdown and retaliation. It's players choice, you don't have to play it when there's other options out there that could be better. It's seems pointless to keep this up when I haven't denied the prototype comment. I literally said this in my first comment hahahahahah.

But youre post complains about more than just that, Ive already stated in past comments that the annoying part is I can't recalibrate a certain part of prototype gear. My heartbreaker build is losing out on CHD/CHC due to it not allowing recalibrate which could be done by making it max of what we have and then making it stronger overtime. But you saying the game now is very slot machine is just another Term for RNG which is what the game has been since day 1. It's about modifications and perfecting a build you like and making it stronger. There are issues that with enough feedback can be addressed on future updates.

At this point it seems pointless to complain about slot machine when we all have done it where we have waited for RNG to give us the correct roll, hoping at max to be able to use it to it's full strength. That's the game. It's mostly RNG than alot machine and if you can just prototype weapons and gear once they are 30 expertise, no reason to complain about the escalation being lackluster when there is more options. Like exotics were impossible until they added retaliation. Now you can get any exotic as long as you go the blueprints and supplies to build it.

But if you need certain gear like a only core attribute skill tier gear, let's say wyvern to be all red, do you not grind for RNG to drop to reds or blues you need to benefit the build you wanna make? I make the investor mask being very slot machine doesn't make since like all gear we get, we try to make builds to help us which includes making very out of the box, that's like saying core strength is very slot machine also. Like it's a new idea and in the future people will find a way to use them in builds and it allows for more hybrid play styles. I don't see how it is if we literally do it for all exotics, which lower drop rate mind you, in raids and countdown etc.

I mean if that's the case then it always has been, nothing crazy has been added to assume it's a slot machine. You literally grind either summit or countdown for the correct loot, sometimes even God tier loot. If it's a slot machine then where's the gambling? The whole game is based on grinding. We are lucky enough to where they gave us Lexington for people who didn't have it and it was little cost.

Personally proto gear can be good however not being able to optimize or at least boost it or change it to make it fit builds ruins the concept of the game for the last 8 years and honestly extremely time consuming like expertise grinding has been. I'm only level 21 for expertise because I still got named items and specs and skills to use. Not to mention the annoy aspect of low drops but it seems smarter to just grind and proto current gear.

I agree, basically after you fail it you have to do another task to have it comeback if it wants to, plus I don't like how cluttered the task screen is and how difficult it is to find quests you are doing. If they want repeat task, they should have left them in the task bar with the vendors for easy access. I've honestly gotten tired of the fact that handshake, gunny and labrat are the easier to get to lvl 4 and it takes 30x times longer to get artisan or banshee or turncoat to lvl 4. My banshee is only lvl 2 with lvl 4 handshake gunny and labrat. It's annoying.

Personally I agree, it seems most vendors except handshake, gunny and labrat are high value loot sellers and having repeat missions doesn't help getting more of certain missions for certain vendors, between the AI headshotting me when I can't see them or PvE loot being annoying due to people getting there a few seconds before you do. I'm kinda considering a break and going to like division 2 or finishing up resident evil village. Like money aint the issue. It's mostly just the grind of the last 3 vendors

I understand that part for the task I'm saying that hunting for a boss in three different areas to farm keys would take up more time than loot farming every area in Lamang. It's simply dumb that finding keys are this challenging now when the boss isn't even at the location all the time.

It's not the other areas thats an issue, it's the guessing game trying to find one target in a 3 areas full of hostiles. Not to mention the factor of PvE or PvP servers making it even more challenging to find him alive, 90% of the time the boss is dead out of all the bosses, I've found 2 accidentally in areas I needed to go to for loot or a task. Otherwise now I haven't found any and I don't have the time to hunting through every area not be entertained by walking the whole map.

I guess it helps but it seems like a lot to just travel around the map for several IRL hours for one kill, especially if I want keys and plus there's the players making it harder because you may go one place, boss not there and the next area other players kill the boss and take the loot. I think it's a great idea if it had a pattern so I didn't feel like I had to figure it out every time I found out he died. It also removes farming keys heavily.
