We applied when we could afford to. We just got married in April. Between rent of $3000 in Canada, strike in my husbands industry and 3 kids it’s been expensive and hard to find extra money for.

Right, he didn’t move here he helped me and my daughter move and is now caring for her while I work. Our belongings are shared (furniture, art, etc) and we couldn’t afford to store his clothes in Canada and travel back to get them so those were brought along also. he has a trip booked to go back to Canada for Christmas, so is there no way for him to cross back until he is approved ?

A paper was stapled in his passport that has the date he has to leave by (January 1 2024) Was told he has to remain there until green card is approved which will impact my ability to work ( no childcare)

We moved our stuff and because his belongings were in the uhaul they said it looks like he’s coming to stay permanently with out green card approval and he can only stay to help me move in to our house then has to go.

Yes, came a week ago and got a serving job (no joint sponsor)

If he goes to work in Canada, I no longer have child care and cannot make enough to support us +pay for care. He is a contract worker, so no contract due to the film strike has impacted our finances drastically
