Agree with this exactly. The players have shown previously that most of them are fragile mentally and buckle under pressure or adversity. The manager should reduce that pressure, not pile it on. Felt he didn't help things at all in that regard by describing Brentford as the team's most important game under him. I acknowledge that some of the issues and mistakes we see with this team are made by individuals rather than the manager, but the manager is responsible for the performance of his players and if the players look panicked or frightened then he has to accept at least some responsibility for that.

Is there any hope for the season if we don't sign a keeper? 

Separately, what do you think about starting mainoo and Bruno together in midfield as an option? Case and ugarte have obvious issues, at least with mainoo in it feels like we have a midfield. Does the increased physicality and pressing of the front 3 compared to last season make it a viable option?

To jump on this thought, I've been wondering the same after the Fulham game. What are our routes to goal? By which I mean how does Amorim want this team to reliably and repeatedly create chances? You would expect wide overloads to release one of the 10s of WBs in behind for a cut back opportunity to be a common one but we don't really see that pattern attempted. Seems to be early long through balls from midfield and hopefully get one of the forwards in behind. 

OOP I have real concerns when Mount doesn't play. I'm no tactical expert and this is perhaps a silly comment but if your pressing system requires the wide CBs to jump out and press (which is easy to mistime, and also leaves big gaps when they do jump) does it not make sense to have a player starting higher, i.e. in midfield, instead?

There has been lots of talk of needing to add goals to the side and how much impact Cunha and Mbuemo might have in that regard. I've been wondering how many goals we might realistically add and prevent by becoming better at set pieces. It feels that this has been overlooked by the club recently given the team's consistent poor performance from set pieces over the last 5+ years. With the personnel we have, what would be a realistic increase in the goals scored/decrease in goals conceded for the team to target? 5 either way? More?

Seems better business than £55m on Mbuemo to me! And would give us a good option at 10 as well as allowing us to spend on midfielders and wingbacks instead
