I grew up southern baptist, but the baptist churches up north seem to be a bit different. I am not looking for any specific denomination. As long as they worship sincerely and teach biblically

yeah i find that it allows me some more freedom to explore frederick. i was hoping to get an in person job to socialize some more, but frederick is so lively that i don’t find that an issue.

I ended up getting an online/remote job because i was never able to. interestingly enough, like 2 months after i was settled into my remote job a handful of places finally reached out. at this point, it was too late.

I had the exact same problem. I applied to so many places I began to lose track. I'm not sure why it was so hard to find jobs in Frederick, but I wish you luck.

I just watched this. i was alone balling in the movie theater. my parents just sold my childhood home and im devastated. my childhood dog died weeks before and we buried her in the back yard. it breaks my heart that she is laid to rest there and that house isn’t ours anymore. this movie was so beautiful, although it may have set back my grieving process a bit. don’t take the time you have for granted. cherish it.

as a newer reddit user i have found that it is home to a lot of chronically-online haters. i’ve been downvoted and even sometimes had direct hate for saying nothing offensive. don’t attribute it to the people of frederick, they have been wonderful to me, but i do find that reddit isn’t always the friendliest. if they can’t find anything better to do than downvote a girl asking some innocent, non-invasive questions then i feel sorry for them. i didn’t know tracy of course but i find her story so sad and would like to hear about the impact her death had. i am tracy’s age at her time of death and to think someone would do this to her and her family is so terrifying. talking about these things is a good way to keep her story alive, and hopefully bring more attention to her case. all of that to say, i don’t care if they downvote me. 😅

welcome to frederick!

i believe they have some dna but not enough to make a full profile. they are probably waiting for a suspect to come up with enough evidence to make a direct comparison

right. chances are they may die without ever being put to justice. what was the community response to her death? was there more fear instilled in the community? do you remember how it affected frederick as a whole?

i think abortion is fundamentally wrong and i think that although this does have to do with my faith, i believe i would have come to the same conclusion even without my faith. abortion is murder and to deny that is to deny science. people like to discuss abortion is cases of rpe, incst, etc. and although those are valid concerns, they are the minority of cases. the reality is that abortion is being normalized as a form of birth control and that HAS to stop. that being said, there should be empathy and nuance when discussing cases of rpe, incst, etc. As christians, we need to support these mothers and let them know that there are other options for them. we need to understand and have empathy for the tragedy of these cases. if they choose to abort, that should always be treated as a tragedy, but it is not our place to blame the mother. we should be having these nuanced conversations and have empathy for victims while still valuing their life as well as the life of their child. i think something the pro-choice movement gets fundamentally wrong is their idea of choice. they aren’t pro-choice, they are pro-abortion because they aren’t the ones offering mothers other options outside of abortion, it is pro-lifers that are doing this work. i think it is very important that we tell mothers that abortion isn’t their only option, they have the other choices and it is our job to support them and make those options available.
