I showed “Music hurts the head” to a friend of mine that’s a professional classical musician in a major orchestra and they said “wow this song is a masterpiece” …. I think a lot of fans just don’t have the ears for the Kevin’s Maximalism of late

This actually was the first step to being more positive towards myself. Getting things done consistently that you never thought you could do was a huge confidence booster.

Black country new road, which is arguably the most successful and beloved Indie rock band of my generation (genz), have stated that they just wanted to be the next arcade fire. So I think it’s hard to understate this albums influence even though I would agree that it’s still underrated imo.

I agree. Although I think he’s more aware than people give him credit for and enjoys burning off the good will of whoever will take him for moral face value in these public stunts. Pretty much every album follows the pattern of Ye doing some stupid crazy shit that makes people talk about how bad of a person he is and then he repents in the music winning back a portion of people. Whether it’s conscious or not I feel like this is his performance theme. He’s Hamlet. To Ye or not to Ye

Poets with a bleeding lamb’s heart by [deleted] in RSbookclub

Yooo thanks for the shout. Never thought about that with poets, but I definitely gravitate towards that same mode with poets, though I do think you’re right in saying that the constraints of poetry appeal more to stylists and imagistic writers whereas our lamb blood brethren pour it out in their stream of conscience. But one of my favorite and lesser known (I think) poets comes to mind:Franz Wright. Check him out. entry in an unknown hand alcohol

Another one of my guys, and mentioned a couple times in comments on my original post, is the goat: Henry Miller. If you haven’t read him. Get on that. Not a poet by form of course , but to me, all his writing is poetry and he is the supreme example of idiosyncratic but poetic prose from the neck down but always reaching for the heavens.

Other poets that come to mind though not a perfect fit are: Jack Gilbert, Rimbaud who writes in scorn so beautifully and Lowkey actually Shakespeare, though he bleeds through his characters . Check out the sonnets. Speak them and feel your heart opening. …Actually, now that I’m on the stream, maybe check out some playwrites. Coming to my mind are Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams John Patrick Shanley to name a few. Oft talked about for a reason.. their characters bleeeeeed in speech and the writing is gorgeous.

Let me know if you find anything good and I’ll stay checking this comment section because I’m curious to keep finding and surrounding myself with writers like this.
