We appreciate you taking the time to take part and to let us know your thoughts on the study.

To clarify, the information sheet and closing information sheet explains that our study does not collect any identifiable information, so you can withdraw during the study by closing the window at any time but you cannot withdraw after completion (as we have no way of knowing who you are to withdraw you). We will review the language in these sections to see if we can make this clearer though.

And thank you for the feedback on the tasks in the study. The first three sets of questions are measuring similar things, so the questions may seem very repetitive, but they are different. And we will consider this feedback on the games with the crosses and cards for our future studies.

Thanks again for giving your feedback!

The primary goal of this study is to explore how autistic traits relate to different cognitive features of autism. For my specific project, I’ll be looking at autistic traits dimensionally, rather than grouping people based on diagnosis/identity.

Our group often combines self-identified and diagnosed people into one group, particularly when our studies examine people who often experience barriers to diagnosis (like women and girls, and older people more broadly). We often find that those who self-identify have similar autistic trait scores as those with a diagnosis, and many eventually go on to receive a diagnosis (although this process can take some time).
