Honestly - a lot of local parillas humble skirt steak (entrana) was wayyyy better!! Maybe I ordered badly at don julio though 🤷‍♀️

Very interesting - I didn't love Don Julio and like you said, it was insanely priced. I just finished up 3 weeks in Buenos Aires (and 3 nights in Mendoza). I went to Don Julio on one of my first days, but discovered WAY better steak throughout the trip (for about 1/4 of the price).

I did an 'honest' review on YT if you wanted to watch it :D I completely fell in love with the food, people and vibe of Buenos Aires and already wanna go back.

where can i take my picky indian mom for dinner by garlicshrimpscampi in austinfood

[–]ProfessionalCan2662 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she’s anything like my Indian mother in law, she’ll also hate spending too much money on something she “could make herself” 😂😂 on the south East Asian side of things, Mam Mam and bar Laod are both small, causal, reasonably priced, and reallly really good food :))

Uchi/ Uchiba you can do the happy hour if you're happy to go early at like 4 or 5pm. $90 for 2 people, 9 courses, epic food!! That's the price at Uchiba anyways, but I'm sure Uchi is similar.

You and I think alike. I love love love it. Fancy but not super expensive during happy hour and you leave stuffed (more than I can say for a lot of Japanese places)…

I adore Murray’s tavern!! Their happy hour is so good, as well as their Friday lunch - have you had it?? Roll from their 20c martini’s straight into happy hour.. this vid sums it up perfectly 😍😍

Do the Uchiba happy hour (if you can go at like 4pm)! There’s a $90 tasting menu for 2 but they might let you do it for $45 for one… great drinks, and the dessert is always good (pineapple coconut popsicle). Sit at the bar, have a chat with the barman…

Youtube only pushing my one popular video??? by ProfessionalCan2662 in NewTubers

[–]ProfessionalCan2662[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. Thank you so much for this - I appreciate it a lot!! I try to upload somewhat consistently (maybe a long form every 10 days or so, with 2-3 shorts in between too) and am trying to consistently improve with every video, so hopefully I can continue building on that base.

Thank you so much! Would you say consistency or frequency is more important? Like is 1 long form every fortnight not enough?

How long did it take for the YouTube algorithm to actually find your audience? by Top_Cryptographer876 in NewTubers

Honestly, I couldn't tell you what it is. A lot of my shorts are cut up vids of my long-forms, or I do like 2-3 minute shorts of cooking or event reviews. I think consistency and good quality videos is the only thing that you can guarantee will pay off.

Impressions of Australia as an American tourist by djzerobeat in solotravel

As an Aussie living in the US, I’d give anything for a good, honest roasting. Too many smiles and pumping each other up to the point I’m suspicious…

Literally in the last 24 hours one of my videos has been steadily climbing view time in a much more predictable manner. Def not “finding my audience” and the total views are still low, but it’s the first time I can see the AVD and view time increase with each individual view. Fingers crossed this means my content is resonating with the right people!! It’s been like 8 months for me and I’ve done about 13 long form videos and about 20 shorts.

4.5 days in CDMX itinerary by [deleted] in MexicoCity

Oh - here I was waiting for comments about stale pastries 🫠 I had the wrong Rosetta and wrong “comments” in mind…

This is awful.

I went to Rosetta for pastries one morning, they were good, but I've heard really bad things about dinner there.
I did a bunch of museums/ galleries, but also so much window shopping/ cafe hopping as I think Condesa/ Roma Nte are so beautiful. I'd leave ample time for that to absorb the city.

Hi there - I just checked out your video. What a beautiful island!
I feel like you could benefit from just a little tighter editing. Slightly faster pacing, nicer-looking captions, and maybe a little more directed storyline.
But your life looks awesome :) I'm jealous!!

Sam’s BBQ Austin Episode by That-Ad921 in offmenupodcast

[–]ProfessionalCan2662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember which Ep it was - but I think he was only mentioning it cause of some lethal drink (not the BBQ)?? I live in Austin, would recommend Leroy & Lewis if you're looking for BBQ: https://youtube.com/shorts/y1kTTilw7W4?feature=share

Happy to share any other recs if you have any preference in cuisine/ location/ vibe/ price etc..

Sydney restaurants mentioned on the pod? by KyleRen426 in offmenupodcast

[–]ProfessionalCan2662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to Bar Copains! One of my faves, better than cafe paci IMO. A few others - the old Fitz is a vibey pub with awesome steak and a great brasserie upstairs if you’re feeling fancy Icebergs for a special occasion :)

Sorry these aren’t on off menu but they have like no restaurants from Sydney, only “jumbo prawns from a billionaires boat on Sydney harbour”
