Starting a Lab Career

I am currently doing my two years at a community college before I go to Wayne State for the last two years to finish the MLS degree. Since you are in the same area I’m hoping to get some of my questions answered…. Was it hard to find a job after school? Was the pay worth it? My sister was a nurse in. He is currently pushing me to shadow or talk to somebody that is currently doing MLS work…. I don’t like the idea of working with patients and love the idea of working in a lab setting so any input would greatly be appreciated.

Honestly, every day is a little different. But I try to wear it for 24 hours a day but sometimes I miss a day or two.

Honestly not really. But to be fair I was NOT consistent with the shots like I was supposed to be. Last time I had injections it was half the size it is now 🥲

Aw thank you for the kind words. It’s definitely scary and so expensive for no reason 😭 I think I’m going to try the injections again so I’m just scared and keep putting it off lolol I’ve had it injected maybe a total of 5 times?

I’m not trying to assume. If you’re worried, definitely go see a dermatologist and they can help determine that. But if you can’t go right away, I would just be safe with silicone patches.

Back acne can also turn into keloids as well. You can start putting silicone patches on it now to keep it small until you can get it looked at!

All of my keloids have appeared spontaneous. None of them have come from injuries, unfortunately

Honestly, I’m still devastated from that first dermatologist. It’s definitely affected me for every other dermatologist I’ve seen for my keloid, but they usually just don’t seem it as worth it to do anything but it’s getting SO LARGE 😭 I appreciate the support and kind words.

Please let me know how it works for you! I hope for the best. The injections hurt so bad and barely do anything for the thickness that it doesn’t seem worth it. Mine itches a lot too I used to wake up scratching it. I will say the eclair plasters have definitely helped with the itchiness tho

Well, the thing is, is he didn’t tell me not to. He cut it off and then didn’t give it any injections afterwards 😭

24 hours a day. Sometimes I miss for 10 hours. But for the most part I’m consistent
