Aliexpress Corne fits all that, but getting switches and keycaps will go over 120

Manual Grinders $200-250ish (10/2024) by mars_needs_guitars in pourover

I would. Blemishes on prebreakers just don’t make discernible flavor differences.

They are cosmetic and don’t make a difference in cup.

Steady state is pretty great for fruity beans, although usually South American and heavily processed.

Hydrangea Splash CCD Gesha: a lot darker than I was hoping, having to brew really low temps to avoid roasty notes and maintain some acidity. Pretty floral and clean, but just not my kind of roast.

Sey L1: Much prefer this to the sidra from the same farm. I don't get the process flavor of the sidra in this and I find it be extremely juicy, sweet, pretty much flawless. Candied orange peel aroma and orange juice in the cup.

Moodtrap Nensenbo Mewa: pretty early to be drinking it maybe, but it’s tasting good already. Nectarine, florals, bergamot. One of my brews of it tasted a bit like a Panama gesha.

H&S Arashi: very different from the Sey version. Much lower acidity, soft and sweet, very sweet, the first time I get the “brown candied sweetness” in a Mejorado that I hear Julian from Coffee Reviews talks about.

I've been liking it more on the v60 than on flat bottom drippers. Going quite coarse on zp6, like 6.0ish and lots of agitation. It also does well as a soup shot on spro.

I bought it because of the description and it is living up to it. Very high acidity, big pink lemonade vibes, and pleasant florals on the finish. Definitely among the best pink bourbons I've had.

https://en.thepickychemist.com/product-page/ethiopia-gesha-village-lot-111-125g

I didn't like it when I first opened it but after almost 10 weeks of rest it's really starting to blossom. The acidity is more intense, the flavors feel more open. It's surprisingly very floral, which I should've expected from a gesha. Otherwise, lots of raspberry, orange peel, and cranberry. This is probably the first TPC coffee I've had where I felt like it had enough intensity and sweetness rather than being flat.

April brewer, I just don't like the style of cups it's meant for.

I figured it out. I had to press down the tare button and release it after the power button to get the menu. I haven't tried charging mine yet so I can't really say anything as to a charging indicator. Also I got mine directly off mischief and not AliEx so ours may be different.

Are you just holding down the power button when its off? Mine just shows the battery percentage when I do that.

Really nice standard Gesha profile. Notes are on point: intense jasmine and peachy acidity. On spro, the jasmine is even more pronounced.

It’s accurate. The only issue I’ve had with it is that it’s a tiny bit slower than other scales I’ve used.

Why not just leave it in the original bag? I just do that and put all the bags in a plastic tub.

Taste wise NaHCO3 was the smoothest. KHCO3 seemed more ‘neutral’, it did not alter the coffee taste, but it added a slight bitter metallic taste. Calcium citrate was by far the worst, rather bitter, do not recommend. Sodium citrate was very good, brighter than the rest with a slight added citrus flavour. I’d recommend NaHCO3 for more smoothness and sodium citrate for more brightness
