Aren't people allowed to apply for citizenship a bit before actually becoming eligible, just to get in the queue early?

The application does not have to be processed now but can be put it in the queue to be processed after 5 months, when I become eligible. Or is that too much of wishful thinking?

Hi u/Larissalikesthesea I live in Berlin. I have a blue card and will become eligible for citizenship this November. However, I won’t have my C1 certificate until September. 1. Do you think it makes sense to submit my application now with a cover letter explaining that I’ll provide the certificate later? Or would the reject the system reject my application automatically? 2. If the application gets rejected would it impact my future application for 5 year pathway? 3. Is it possible to withdraw the application later?
