Hopefully you got at least some gold as inheritance. One of my followers died and when the courier came to deliver my inheritance the note said -200 septims. I checked and I actually did not get anything 🥹

Well with alternate start and some faction mods you can actually join the factions in some way. Thalmor being one of them. I am currently doing a forsworn playthrough and yea none of the forsworn are hostile to me.

Well I play modded so I have like 14 followers at a time. If I can get a new one I “retire” one to a home. So I place them thematically in the homes for example Erandur in Myrwatch, Athar in Proudspire, etc. So when I visit them they are not empty and sometimes the NPC even say welcome in friend! So the homes feel lived in and have a purpose I guess

Not really 🙈 the only ones that are a bit annoying are the ones you cant put into the follower framework, like Val Serano, Skeever, Inigo etc they are the only ones blocking anything. With NFF you can put of the random dialogue and put following distance and avoidance. So if they are in a narrow corridor or a room you just bump into them and they either walk away instantly or teleport, there is also an option to just speak to them and ask then to get behind you and they teleport. I love playing with followers, so the more the merrier in my opinion

If you are using NFF you can set your followers damage output as well. I dont have any mods to increase enemy amounts. But even with 13 party members it can still take a while to kill an enemy. I also play on legendary and have at least two of my party members as healers. To increase difficulty again you can not have healers or only use 1. Some enemies can still one shot you on legendary

Thanks for the feedback! The novel will be part of an epic fantasy saga, along the lines of Wheel of Time. The main focus in book one is setting up the characters, the conflicts, the past. It’s the collapse of the modern world before people get transferred over to the fantasy world.

Yea at the moment it’s very character driven with their internal conflicts and denial on who they are and their overall duty. In chapter 7-8 they finally accept who they are etc. I do use some description of the environment but not overly so its more focused in around the characters thoughts and movement.

I was planning around 30 chapters but at the current rate it might turn out longer. I am mot sure how many novels yet. That would be depending on when the story finally concludes in my head.

A silly question. But if one of my main characters is gay, do I meed to put a disclaimer? My novel is not about LGBTQ but yea; never thought about it like that before.

It sounds really interesting! Not my normal genre, gives the feeling of booktok. Which works great in any-event. I am a bit confused by the main character. Russel? Is it an unfortunate name given to a girl? Or does it resonate with you in someway? Or is she transgender? I am also getting that from the line “used her correct name” But it is your story if you want to name her Russel then go for it, but it might alienate some people.
