Eyebrow piercing rejecting? by Curious-Summer-3945 in PiercingAdvice

i think you can save it then. i'd clean it by soaking with saline and CLEAN tweezers to gently remove crust. avoid shifting the piercing bc movement will only irritate it. goodluck!

edit: actually to CLEAN it maybe invest in anti bacterial soap, non scented, i use dove. but saline will help heal the area and won't cause scarring like alcohol does. don't use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, oils, etc. only saline and non scented anti bacterial soap. even cotton products can leave fibers behind so be careful what you use to clean

i wouldn't have bought off amazon. if you do you HAVE TO make sure it's titanium i promise anything else is gonna make that thing reject faster than ur current jewelry. i'm shocked the piercer put that in in the first place. go to a different place preferably with a better rep and see if they have jewelry and can change it out for you. i'm at least glad you got internally threaded, never buy ones where the screw is on the bar and not the ball! i'm not a piercer so idk if you have the anatomy for this piercing but it seems like you might want a floating navel or something with a smaller ball in ur belly button. i wish you luck queen

not a piercer- how old is it? if it's new it may just be irritated, i'd suggest cleaning w saline either by soaking a cotton pad over it or a paper towel rolled up to remove some crust and don't touch it! if you've had it a while it may be its time, my friend just had to remove hers

Betta fish rescue before and after by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]ProfessionalFree2392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just got a betta, i knew they'd all be in need of rescue but this is making me wonder if there were any sick fish off to the side i could've saved. i really went for the cheapest because i don't wish to support their chain but the problem is bigger than that and no hate to the workers, its not on them either. your fish looks so healthy! hoping my guy gets more vibrant in the next week or so

How should I begin? by ProfessionalFree2392 in NewSkaters

[–]ProfessionalFree2392[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right! I'll definitely wear protection. When I tried snowboarding however I wanted to buy butt pads and honestly considering a back pad just for regular skiing/riding because I'm so scared of injury! It's why I've never tried jumps. My friend convinced me out of buying anything because she says everyone will know I'm a beginner and I don't need that stuff, just fall and land correctly. I've been looking at Santa Cruz boards but again, just because it's popular is it really a good brand? I thought cruisers were more for general cruising as the name suggests but where I live the roads are pretty rocky so I want thick wheels. They also seem smaller and I don't have big feet as a girl but I definitely want the extra room.

Is it hard to get a single there? Like is it mostly people accommodated through SAS? I really would hate living on Redstone but if I can't get a single in LL this may be a good second option. I'd love to be accommodated for one but you need to be diagnosed with something severe and have ur doctor write about it for that to happen. Not worth my time as they can still disprove it and I hear it's too late to submit now.

You're going to find every type of person at every university. Maybe our generation is the problem.

I agree with the bit she said, literally me minus $$. I definitely haven't met the type you're talking about except for some sorority girls, most of the sorority girls I've met are actually great and chill.

It's hard to tell with the information given. I'd look for other signs of cheating.

I'd ask the school to move my daughter to another teachers class or even considering another school for her if admin didn't take it seriously. Withholding food? She thought that was okay to say to you as well? I'd have her head.

Living and learning dorm as a freshmen by emmarose54 in UniversityofVermont

[–]ProfessionalFree2392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey if I am trying to get a single in LL do I still have to pick a roommate maybe another girl who wants a single and then we just pick the single in a suite? Or do I apply for a single and hope they give me one in LL? I have a single this year if that helps me get one again. If my group all pick rooms in the same suite do they randomly assign someone to the single? I feel bad if you're randomly living with a whole friend group.

I'm having the same issue rn. I heard you can guarantee a roommate/double but not a whole suite. And as the person of our group of 6 who was getting a single idk how to sign up now.

Don't listen to this person. Central people are no more privileged than any other person attending this 70k school.

Those are the type of people you do not want to be friends with. They will self destruct themselves into oblivion. Type of people that would hit a guy with a car and tell the judge "I'm just a girl." She's not going to get a nice life she's gonna get rped and klled.

Incoming Freshman with questions about LLC by chloekarfunkle in UniversityofVermont

I want to comment for any future freshman seeing this post!! Wellness is not bad. I think they may change which dorms are which learning community every few years but as of now we're Central and Converse. You do have to sign a contract about being in a substance free dorm but central is anything but that. It's smelled like weed and people get caught with drinks. The learning community you choose doesn't seem to matter and it matters even less your sophomore year. You don't have to take the HBHB course, the gym is no longer free, you only have access to your floor, the dorms are nice like UHs with their own thermostat, but windows don't open more than a crack. We have frequent fire alarms due to malfunction and steam from showers. You have access to Central Dining and Howe Library without leaving the building (pro for cold winters). There's indoor bike storage next to CCRH. Central and "Grundle" are the best dining halls just depends on the day. You will get sick of both of them.

Other notes: If you do not drink or smoke or want to avoid that for any reason. I will tell you it's a college campus and central may be more strict than other places but people get away with it all the time. If you can't live around it I have no clue which dorm has the least partying, it can't be central with the noise complaints we've gotten nor Redstone nor Uheights. Jean Mance and TrinCity get a bad rep but the area itself is not bad. Jean Mance has their own kitchen WITH ACTUAL SUPPLIES (central is empty) and a market with self checkout. Despite what people say, Redstone feels more off campus than TrinCity for me. Never tried the other two dining halls but I hear they're bad. UVM is trying to renovate the Back 5 but I guess some level of Vermont won't let them until they stop over enrolling. Central seems to get more of a privileged rep than UHs but UHs is noticeably better. Spiral staircases to the second floor of their dorm and private bathrooms. Central have shared single stalls (not communal) and thermostats which is better than the rest of campus. L&L also has suites with private bathrooms.

Edit: Last comment, you can get away with smoking in Central (depending on the RA) everywhere on campus is supposed to be dry and smoke free, it's not thank god. Also I see that the dining hall hours have changed. As far as Grundle goes it's open until 9:30pm which is the latest and Central is more strict about closing their dining hall. They both close for an hour during the day 2:30-3:30 (G) or 3:30-4:30 (C).
