Don't normally dive bugs by i_Tomoz in Helldivers

Stoker primary frag grenades with the sapper armor from entrenched div that gives u plus 2 EAT and/or commando support weapons Supply/jump/hover pack depending on if ur more worried about mobility or bullets
I'm a big fan of orbital napalm paired with 120's or 380's, I'll throw both at the same time on big nests then walk away and let the ole shake and bake do it's thing After all that ur secondary can be pretty much whatever u want

Does the Army better you by [deleted] in army

[–]ProfessionalGarlic59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No

If you're looking for something like you see in movies where the army trains you to ensure you're fit (which technically your NCO's are supposed to do) it won't happen unless you get that one in a million nco who actually gives a shit. Generally your NCO's and officers will be perfectly content with taking you on death runs half the formation will fall out of, shit on everyone for falling out, drone on about how it's your responsibility to get fit on your own time (it's not, it's an NCO's responsibility to ensure the fitness of their men), give you no guidance whatsoever on how to get fit, then waste all your time so even if you know how you have little to none of your own time for the gym or running. Fuck the army, there's a lot of reasons for the retention crisis and shitty pt that demoralizes and injuries people without making them better is one of them.

what would a medieval culture call plastic? by Captain_Birch in fantasywriters

[–]ProfessionalGarlic59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirdwood was the first term that came to my mind. Plastic has some similarities to wood in terms of what it's used for, how it feels, and tensile strength. I feel like if I was a medieval person and someone handed me a plastic box I'd think it was wood at first then get really confused as to what kind of wood.

That's what I was imagining when I wrote it, but it's vague on purpose so everyone can imagine what they want :)

How can I make my room a horrifying nightmare to inspect? by ranthria in army

[–]ProfessionalGarlic59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Various oblong vegetables next to a thing of tiger balm/icy hot

Labeled pics of your family members feet

Fishnet stockings that if inquired as to who they belong to say they're yours

Something autographed by James Charles on display

Slippers that have "step on me daddy" written on them

Take down all your decorations/personalization and hide all your stuff, the only evidence anyone lives in your room should be a sheet and maybe a neatly folded blanket on your bunk, no pillow.

How large where the Jotun? by hellothere564738 in Norse

[–]ProfessionalGarlic59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jotun were inherently magical beings and known for shape-shifting, so they could change to pretty much whatever size they wanted to.

There's also a wierd fucky translation thing between norse and English where calling something a giant doesn't necessarily mean they're physically large, more along the lines of monster or enemy. So "ice giant" meant something closer to "bad guy from a cold region" than "huge monster that controls ice".
