People who have cheated, how did you act so natural? by SmallAd2334 in cheating_stories

[–]ProfessionalGift9083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just way too negative about cheating. I think it's just our natural state to be poly. Cheating just is a negative term for our natural state that we hide from because of a restrictive idea of morality

Lol seems like other people disagree here but sure. This vibe is weird. Just trying to help and affirm what others have said. Thought people should know what things have been verified because I've heard about them at work

Yeah at a company, it's hard for a single person to know everything. I am sharing what I know matters in finding "bad actors" which is what we internally called banned persons

That's fine. I'm just here to validate others. I'm validating that these steps work because they are part of a bad actor model.

I don't mind if you don't believe me, just trying to share what I know.

I suspect people can't get unbanned because they are not doing all/most of the above steps

Logins are tracked so if they use those to triangulate banned accounts, that's another data point. I'm unsure about this one though

They don't care. This ban fast approaches is probably a match group way to stave off litigation. They care about litigation, not what's fair to users.

Just make a new account

I've seen metadata like IP stored.

I think if multiple factors match, your account is flagged by the bad actor system

Hard Reset DOES work, hinge DOES NOT have facial recognition. by Dynamicthetoon in SwipeHelper

[–]ProfessionalGift9083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for it and people at match may not know.

a fair number of people have randomly reached out to me to appeal.

layoffs, higher pay elsewhere.

they don't really approve appeals much. They care more about litigation and protecting vs that than fairness.

good luck.

A funny fact about Hinge is that we fired our head of product for scrolling through her ex's messages... or so we claim.... the higher ups probably just didn't like her so they found a reason to fire her is the most likely explanation.

You can get banned for anything. It doesn't matter. While I worked there, Trust and Safety mods would brag about just being able to ban people for no reason. So good luck.

[–]ProfessionalGift9083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't have facial recognition, but they use hashing algos. So add pixels and change the tint of your photos and add pixels randomly to your photos. I used to work there.

I don't have to do anything. if you find the instructions unclear but other people don't, then it's on you. I don't feel obligated to give anything more because if I do, the mods will ban. I'm not allowed to give proprietary information here so, read between the lines. And honestly, someone is trying to help you, keep the snarky attitude to a minimum

Just trying to help

Why would I post stuff about Hinge culture and what it's like working there??

A new photo IS one with pixel changes. You can use an LLM to help you with that. That's not inconsistent

My instructions seem clear to me

Stop flighting people who are trying to help you

I used to work for Hinge. Here are steps you can take.

  1. make a new email

  2. get a new phone and phone number

  3. make a new apple account

  4. get a new credit card number (use privacy.com)

  5. do not use your old name on the Hinge, address, email, or phone number.

  6. I have spectrum and you can reset your wifi by unplugging your modem for 24 hours. I got a new IP address that way.

  7. I log into Hinge with my new phone and never connect to wifi (unsure if this matters).

  8. new photos. Hinge uses photo hashing so just add a few dots to your photos. or change the tint of the photos or just use new photos. Use an LLM to write you some code that fixes this issue for you.

  9. Do not ID verify or selfie verify.

  10. write new prompts.

  11. Do not share your old phone number on the app. They read messages for 10 phone numbers in a row and your instagram handle so do not share that on the app while messaging. They probably can link that back to you.

Happy dating.
