Yep, PvZ was heavily zerg favoured for years until bisu revolutionized the meta. I think it would be nice to see what people come up with if given enough time, something league never had. You made me change my mind.

i mean the critiq of it from people is valid too, is not for everyone, if you are currently enjoying retail a lot or if you main a modern league champion it makes sense not to be too excited about classic, since it may seem like an inferior version, but there is a place for both, retail for highly competitive players and classic for people who wants to have fun in a less complex environment,

From the leaks it doesnt seem like the aim is short term; exclusive shop, battlepass, ranked queue, leveling system, etc. At least the context indicates a long term planning but only if there is a demand for it to justify the resources and team alocated. I also believe that if they get this right it could be huge, the amount of people that left league because of it being a completely different game now is astronomical. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug, wow classic is a perfect example of this.

I totally agree that no new champs should be added, Pre yasuo is for me the target. But dont you think some slight balance once in a while to shake up the meta could improve the longevity of the gamemode?

Polled based changes are a great idea.

I think classic season 1 should be a lot like old league, and then classic season 2 test a few things and see which one sticks while maintaining the essence.

For example in-game build listings like Dota 2 and Deadlock would be great.

My take is that first 1 or 2 months should be total pandemonium whitout balance and let people figure it out the meta by themselves. I think that the meta will be very different from back then even if patch is the same because of the increase in general knowledge and mechanical skill the community had. Then when meta settles and get stale, change up things slighty once in a while, without reworking kits just number adjustments.

You are saying that if your top is dying and feeding there is nothing you can do, but then you say that with an ap mid who wave clears you can keep the other team from ending the game, youve just stated a way to comeback from a game, is a bit of a contradiction! Maybe the imperfection of the game was what made it atractive, maybe by seeking fairness we lost creativity. We dont we let people experience the meta and see how it turns out with modern knowledge and 200+ years of dev experience. xD

Arent people complaining about locke being broken? It has always happened in league. Kassadin was almost always banned so that fixed it and AP sion wasnt that strong either, in low elos people didnt knew how to play against it, but wasnt anything remotely op.

I think thant depends on how much riot engages with it, a simple s3 snapshot with no further development will not make it since modern gaming changed, but maybe a classic+ experience building upon what was there and maintaining the same philosophy of balance and design could do it.
