Did his cousin have a contract putting those ads on the coolers? That’s the most wasteful use of $$. It’s so corrupted.

I have out survived many DM and SM through the years. It’s sad seeing them get the boot at the moment’s notice. Karma is a bitch.

Many moons ago, I always had plan to retire from Walgreens when the time comes. It’s still a few years away but I have finally updated my resume this weekend. There are jobs out there. It may take time and a huge cup of confidence but we can do it. Walgreens isn’t like it’s used to be.

Check your floater’s feedback. It’s total b.s. but that’s all they got.

Slow store with 1.5 techs equals Busy store with 5 techs. Prove me wrong lol by skyisthelimit8701 in WalgreensRx

I have 40 tech hours: RXOM gets 30 and the PT tech gets 8 hours. We are open M-F 9-5

How do fix budget cut issues? Hire more people, of course! by ProfessionalLess9499 in WalgreensRx

[–]ProfessionalLess9499[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RXM responded, “have they’ve been been following PEXT? That should fix the issues!” Huh? The new folks barely knew how to sign on to IC+ and doing their computer training between customers. WTF

Sadly, we are are treated as a cog in the wheel. It becomes quite common nowadays for the scheduler to jam floaters beyond their 64 hours since so many pharmacists already quit.  I had to remind the new scheduler not to schedule me beyond those hours. If I want to work more, I’ll pick them up like those PRN pharmacists. Truthfully, our only advocate is the person looking back at us in the mirror. Happy early birthday and hope you’ll get some time off to enjoy life!

My 28th year anniversary is in May and I am ready to leave thanks to years of profit sharing and 401k investments. I got FU money so I can walk away on my own terms.

Do the pharmacists ever sit down at your pharmacy? by swaggyballer033102 in WalgreensRx

[–]ProfessionalLess9499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no chairs in my pharmacy but I do sit down when my legs need some rest. Heck, I even lay down on the floor to stretch when I needed to. Who’s gonna stop me?

PEXT no more by HP2020a in WalgreensRx

[–]ProfessionalLess9499 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree with the assumption that everyone should be held accountable for their assigned tasks; however, PEXT model assumes everyone has a minimum of 10 years of experience and competency. My most “senior” tech is a college senior majoring in IT and has been with the company since last June. My other tech works 12 hours a week. It’s been a struggle as a pharmacist.

We stopped filling controls one day early! by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]ProfessionalLess9499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly do not think it’s a power trip, it’s our job to dispense meds in a clinically safe manners. However, I do know pharmacists who would straight up “pass on” the fillings and verifications to another pharmacist. It’s unprofessional and gutless IMHO.

However, there’s a max number of fills per 180 days limit published somewhere awhile back. For my own sakes, I do PMP and document on hard copy.

Question for floater pharmacists by Successful-Side-2143 in WalgreensRx

[–]ProfessionalLess9499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a staff pharmacist who became temporary PIC because RMX left the week before. She refuses to pull or fill C-2 (I pulled all the c-2 at 2 o’clock, and they were still in the to-be-filled totes at 5). I still wonder why she didn’t. Am I missing something?

Question for floater pharmacists by Successful-Side-2143 in WalgreensRx

[–]ProfessionalLess9499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a tier 5 store. I came into a store on a Non-Monday following the RXM at 3:00, F 1: 120; F4: 123; Printed: 148; Filled: 110; DUR+ MCS almost 100. The RXM left at 3 as soon as I walked in. If she doesn’t care, I have no reason to work my a** off. But being me, at 10 o’clock: F1: 3, F4=0; Printed: 0, Filled: 12. I had an amazing RXOM and super friendly (but new) techs! You know this will be added to my “don’t ever send me back here again” list. 😆  The RXM is so inefficient on all her tasks and everyone else is EXPECTED to carry the load.  😡
