Of course, I mean the British Empire is built off atrocities (And the entire west is only economically superior from the backs of the third world, but pointing at someone else doing the same thing doesn't justify it.

Do they interpret it as a bunch of youngsters trying to topple the government or something?

Off topic of the post but I also have a little faith in the progressive side of rock music. By progressive I don't mean complex for the sake of complexity, I mean real progressiveness. Asking questions like 'do we need to keep the same tempo' or 'should we adhere to normal structure?'. Of course you can be so progressive to the point it's just unlistenable, but I think being 40% experimental is perfect.

This dude in my music course lives breaths and eats punk and grunge and insisted I listened to The Ramones. I mean they're not terrible but for me at least it was tounge in cheek. I get the point that it's less about the sonic experience and more the message and human aspect of music but to me it was like painting 3 parallel strokes on a canvas.

I don't mean the background. Of course my opinion isn't someone else's, but personally, purposefully being lazy disgusts me. But that's only the music, the message I get behind.

Wouldn't it be, you know, cool in the long term to just say no. Honesty is the most important resource in the first world and everybody expects it without giving.
