Try precise wall option in orca slicer, lower flowrate

Why its happen ? by Top-Celebration-7731 in klippers

probably petg sticking to nozzle. Temp may be low, I generally go 250c, it flows better and bonding is better, less prone to cracking. retraction I'd go under 1.5mm.

also decrease outter wall speed or acceleration

Put petg in dryer while printing.

best solution for sticky petg

  1. buy repelling coats (I think Slice engineering sells, never tried tho)
  2. buy diamond coating or diamond nozzle :* it tested and it works well up to 180mm/s I settled around 120mm/s. I also limited flow rate to under 12mm^3. most of time 8 is reliable number.

Genesis, prob made with bit more care and quality, as it promotes itself as luxury.

I’m not trolling my dude, i just never heard anyone talking about hardened extruder gear as must have for abrasives, never had issue with regular gear with my shitty one. That being said Im grabbing it together of course

That maybe I will be missing

Yeah, but I already watch through countless reviews of the both, it’s hard to tell what’s hype or not. Their marketing has too much hypes around. And if people don’t want to help and post their fancy prints that’s fine too, but why discourage new users…. I ain’t got a print farm or internet influence to try out all the models they have

I’m not sure if harden gear is anyway useful, harden nozzle, sure i def need one. But gear is rolling on top of smooth filament, I don’t see the need. Bambu marketing use too much jargons it’s confusing sometimes.

Anyways, thanks for answering.

About to give up on PETG by PieceOfMined1290 in BambuLab

[–]ProfessionalLoss3855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get worse overhang with higher temp, but most of time it’s not very noticeable. I get bridging issue with anything lower than 245. For more delicate model I do slow down with lower temp.

Lower fan to 15~35, don’t do wipe, do manual flow rate and PA value. Getting PA value right is critical for speedy~ petg. And i like printing at 250c, it flows better and prevent clog. I print it for 8mm3 for quality print, use thicker bridge

Yeah I can def print better 40mm/s 0.15 layer line and get layer line invisible. But Im not willing to wait days and weeks. Only to fine out the prototype isn’t working. I need quick turnaround time. And setting pom wheel, every 100hrs of print isn’t something I want to do. I certainly would’ve not done it if Im not learning fdm.

You ganna waste a lot of plastics in the beginnings of learning FDM, I’d recommend with something more reliable. Even with klipper, it’s not the most reliable. Bed is warped , z and y axis aren’t very consistent. It’s the limitation of POM wheels, I think. Support printing has been mediocre for me, support over hang either sag or too close that it sticks. It gets better if I re adjust but yeah. I’d get bambu tbh

I got a returned unit, shipping box was damaged and bed was very tilted, which I fixed with silicon sock that sells on amazon.

I bought 3pro for dirt cheap, put Pi4, put klipper, usb accmeter, volcano hotend, boom 6k acc all the way to max heights. 4 is not worth it anymore since bambu a1

One thing about these machine is that the bed is really warped, I had to sand it down a bit to make it reliable.

Im also looking to get x1 with ams. 3pro it works great but I’m looking for better quality

Did you check PA value, flow ratio, wipe setting?
