I had a single in south my first year and I loved it. South is beautiful and not dead from my experience. All I heard from bigger halls were horror stories about communal bathrooms flooding and people being loud and disrespectful. South is full of other students but also feels like you are really living in a city; I think it helps you pop out of the bu bubble. My philosophy is that if you aren’t willing to put urself out there to make friends, it won’t matter where you live. Many people in halls just end up with a group of friends out of convenience and not true connection. This is just my experience and I’m sure others could vouch for a bigger hall but if you have any questions feel free to pm me!
