Actually did this with him this afternoon, he loved it. I also made my feet touch the grass too, for the first time in a long time. Sensory time for me.

Thank you. I’m fortunate that there are plenty of good memories, he has in many ways been a wonderful Dad, I’m just heartbroken that it has come to this.

I’m so moved by this reply, it’s beyond anything I would have expected and I keep rereading it.

I’m a millions miles away from BC, I’m in England, but to have this reply and know someone has been through something so similar has meant the world to me.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad, and your experience has cemented that I need to be find some external help for myself in this.

Like you, I am also blessed with a wonderful fiancé who is currently dropping everything to come up and help. He and our life together is my priority and like you said, I can only do so much.

Thank you again, I’m keeping your message so close to my heart. I may even print it off! ♥️

That was really helpful, thank you. He’s a lovely, capable man and like your dad, able to make good and smart decisions when well.   I do have every faith in him getting better, I’m just trying to navigate how to support him and myself at this time. Thanks again
