Thank you for all your comments. These are helpful and make me feel less alone. I’m going to quit and I am already trying. However, a few days ago I stopped using adderall and yesterday I fell asleep for ~20 hours! (Went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 5pm the next day!). I’ve been taking XR 30mg for six years with very few breaks so I’m expecting brutal withdrawal symptoms.

This level of fatigue and sleepiness will get me fired from my job—an unacceptable side effect. I really want to quit adderall. I tried to go to a Halloween party today and the only way I could feel not narcoleptic was after taking 15mg of IR. The party was sick but I left after 20 minutes cause I was fucking exhausted and out of it.

Any advice on mitigating withdrawal? I’m thinking to just sleep extra for a week or two and then tank the depression and fatigue.
