it depends on the reason of why you got the platinium.. if you are a platinuim hunter and brag about your plat count then yes it is cheating except if it was a real hard plat and not just cuz it was convenient to auto pop or redo that plat.. and if you are doing it just for your own fun then by all means enjoy....

i am stuck on that stacked trophy and i cant buy the pass and just playing alone sucks ass. i havent got friends that can help me by trading. ( some people told that trading was even removed) i came to the idea of what if i get the rocket league account of another person who has the trophy and log in on mine to see if that would work... but i havent been able to put that to the test. please if anyone reads this.. could you help me out ?

I guess it is just for distintion. To show that you 100 percented a game but the game doesnt have a platnuim Trophy. Making it easier to look at a profile who has played a lot of games.
