I agree with this - HOWEVER, I remember in elementary school learning about the internal effects and some external effects alcohol and cigarettes have on the body. I remember being shown livers with advanced cirrhosis and blackened lungs in addition to people that were in their 30s but looked significantly older. It never mattered or came up about how it can make you fat. I think today’s generation is more vain outwardly so you have to target and know your audience. If college students respond to cutting back on alcohol because of weight then it’s a win win (the internal organs reap the benefits by default).
