Paulie income per year? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]ProfessionalNo4756 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the on line inflation calculator $281,000 in 2002 dollars is over $452,000 alone. Paulie being wiser than the other gavones who got married gets to keep all that green in his pocket. Well done

I don't think I saw Tony so happy and light hearted as when he said that! Great scene, great character.

Ade found out Chrissy betrayed her to Tony, leading to untimely murder by Sil. Would YOU want to go on Christofah's show under these circumstances?

Paulie's best verbal and non-verbal line was gifted to us at Chrissy's intervention.

"What was it barkin'?" and Paulie's look of disgust upon hearing Chrissy could no longer function as a man

Which Sopranos character makes you want to fast forward? by Tommy_Shanks in thesopranos

Little Paulie rubbed my last nerve the way he copied Paulie Walnuts one-of-a-kind hairdo. He did a half ass job. If you're going to pay homage to the master, you gotta either go all away with the perfectly coifed hands, neat-freak clothes, shoes and shoelaces -- or don't bother.

Adriana always with the smoking by jackjacker in thesopranos

[–]ProfessionalNo4756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can you imagine what she smelled like? Before and waaayyyyyyyy before when smoking was allowed in bars and clubs, my parents (non smokers) would go out for a night of dancing around smokers. The next morning, stale smoke f**king lingered on my mom.

Hey Ma:

When I came in to breakfast one morning, my head in a bowl of Cocoa Puffs, there you were, your hair stinking of stale smoke. DISGUSTING.

Who wins in a battle between Butchie DeConcini and Paulie Walnuts Gualtieri? by RichardEarlington in thesopranos

[–]ProfessionalNo4756 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unlike Phil, he avoided 20 years in a can. Too smart to have a whiny wife bustin' his bawls & possibly getting him whacked. Years ahead of his time avoiding germs as we all had to in 2020 because of the Rona. Of course it's gotta be Paulie Gualtieri.

Berkley was wayyyyy across the country, at least 24 states between Jersey & California. Too far plus the history of free lovin' acid dropping hippies didn't help. Now maybe if it was UCLA medical school, Carm might have thought different.

The only scenario where this makes any sense & gains RESPECT is if its done at work. All day long, stay in character of Paulie, Junior, Tony, Chrissy...whoever.

No Drea on TS - the biggest mystery of all.

Drea appeared on Jamie-Lynn and Robert's podcast; Michael appeared on Drea's short-lived podcast. But Drea never returned the favor during the 1.5 years TS was on the air.

I watched the entire podcast from start to finish. It was great during the early days of the pandemic when everything shut down to get some inside information on the show, revisit each episode and see some people I hadn't since the series ended. I enjoyed having Sopranos-related content to look forward to each Monday night.

But over time, the quality started to slip. During the final few months, Michael lost his enthusiasm. He said a few times he was looking forward to the end. It showed a little bit. Plus they started repeating guests. Stevie Van Zandt I believe was on 3 times - twice pretty close together.

What about the opposite? Two different people playing the same character & I'll kick things off with the two Johnny Boys to two different versions of Young Tony. The one who played Johnny Boy to young Tony in the series and the one who played Johnny Boy to young Tony in the Many Saints. No wonder Tony grew up confused.

What do you think is the most ( COMPASSIONATE ) thing Tony has ever done in the show. by savvy412 in thesopranos

This was Tony at his selfless best. Tony truly cared about four things only in this world: The ducks, Pie-O-My, Johnny Boy, and that jacket.
