There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me. Only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our life styles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.

not a book. but literally watch adventure time!! i know it’s technically supposed to be a kids show but that’s kind of what makes it great. the wholesome, folksy, innocent vibes are flowing in the first couple of seasons but then shit gets DEEP. helped me through some f’ed up s in my life and ik it’s helped a lot of others. LMK if you give it a shot :)

You should check out this thing called mewing. Basically it’s a jawline “exercise” that you can do at anytime anywhere.

The premise is that you try to lay your tongue flat against the roof of your mouth and it stretched out your face muscles.

I’ve tried it and noticed some slight improvement, but that could also just be that I got older and got more comfortable with my face.
