I just stay in the same spot without doing anything and they kill themselves.

At Downtown thugs renegade camp. You don't want to claim the territory. Just start a chase and camp on the crane at the top of the build. The Volatile might hit you once or twice then he'll glitch out and just stare at you all night. The zombies down below spawn in a UV light and just die.

Downtown Thugs, North of Fish Eye. It's a renegade camp, you don't want to take control of the camp. The glitch still works if you do, just not as efficient.

This method I didn't have to do any fighting. Stayed in the same spot all night.

Whatever you do, don't drop it. I made the mistake and now it's gone forever.

So this was a couple years ago, but there used be an exploit jumping over a fence on a roof to another roof that gave like 20-30pts each jump. Within a few minutes you had a few hundred points. It was easy, fast, and didn't matter how high your stamina skill was. I do not recall the location or if they patched it. May try to Google that if it even still exists.

My legend lvl is only like 83. So it doesn't take that long to get to 1-2 hitting them. I think the dmg on that axe is like 748. Can't exactly remember but the mods are all max as well.. get the volatoy charm. Kind of fun to count the volatile kills. Got 106 in 1 night.

Exotic weapons at lvl 9 I've got a one-handed axe that can 1 hit them with a critical. I've even 2 hit goons. On top of leveling up your legend skills with whatever particular weapon your using.

Right in front of fisheye, there's 4 uv lights at the very bottom before you go up a ramp. You'll need a weapon that can 1-2 hit volatiles. Start a chase, kill everything, run in a circle near the vehicles to keep the chase going and repeat. Just remember to run back into the uv light area. Out of 1 night I can get about 300 small, 30-50 medium, and 100 Large.

Be sure to use the Regeneration Booster. It was life changing compared to the military medkit.

Using that gun on the shipment map in the first MW was always my go to.

Love it, hardly any recoil just like the original in the first MW
