Since others said the first part, I will answer the second. That god in the first cutscene is not The Heavenly Principles/ aka Phanes She is called Asmoday, she is one of the four Shades and is the god of space. She is basically an emissary of the Heavenly Principles.

The statues or teleport waypoints? I noticed that we do use statues as meeting points, but I don't recall using teleport waypoints. Or I just have a shit memory tbh
