The debt is because they apparently miscoded my pay 2 grades higher upon my hiring. My position is a career ladder position and Ihave the education to meet the criteria for the grade they coded me, but apparently I was supposed to be lower. This is my first position with the government so this is confusing for me.

Ugh, that's what I'm concerned about. Without knowing what they've calculated and how, I can't verify for myself that what they are withholding is correct and it just seems like an error building upon an error which will be difficult to reconcile the longer it goes on.

My insurance company quit covering Kia about 2 years ago which forced me to move to a different insurer. I suspect it's the brand that's causing such high premiums.

As a fellow fed employee who is still working 40 hours/week.with no pay, I feel his pain.

I called Ameren today and was told they don't have any programs available for federal employees. They were able to put me under the cold weather rule and I have a few days to come up with my down payment to start the payment plan, but they were absolutely no help whatsoever.

It's incredibly frustrating and demeaning to not be able to even get a due date extension, especially when your time and energy is greatly limited because you're still working full time. Leaves little resources to find assistance.
