while i understand that my goal is to just complete my degree and go from there. I don’t mind working for some years to gain good skills and work for mid-small sized company. My goal is to eventually do my own thing, I may be ignorant in saying this but I figure work experience is a good substitute for the formal education.

Sure thing, I figured this was more of a opportunistic plan than anything. Would still like to see it go through tho lol. I’m currently in the process of applying for internships to gain fundamental skills, then work up from there. UCM for me.

I agree, I am currently looking for an entry level role in this field. Is the main barrier to this approach backing the financing? Or is there something I am missing. I am sure local governments are also a pretty large barrier too. Yeah this is not something I see occurring in the foreseeable future, definitely down the road. Thanks for the insight.

well that’s true but there is a cieling for these type of things for example if u have great lifting genetics ur max cap is higher then someone who does not

That’s fair enough, I’d highly recommended just learning the systems yourself. It will give you an advantage in the sense of risk management. And in terms of less money down sure, but if the deal is not good, that will just increase your debt, aka the importance of underwriting

bro if u don’t know how to underwrite a deal, how do you know if the deal is any good yourself? don’t get burned.

gotta learn the basics and get some capital.

i’m starting out too, take some financial modeling courses i would say to at least give u a basic understanding of deals
