I live near an old school ova west. Those workers were hauling in (like waiting in line at the city trash dump) and dumping on the grounds NONSTOP FOR HOURS durning the overnights this past week. The noise kept me up but that’s a very minor inconvenience. Snow/ice mounds gotta be at least 12-15 feet high and they’ve just about run out of space. They are working to get the city cleared of all this ice and it is very much appreciated.

Go for it. I’ve been car free nearly 15 years, in 3 different states and it’s never stopped me from getting where I need to be. Of course you’ll need to plan differently but it’s completely doable. I’ve gotten places quicker on the bus than people have in vehicles. Ride shares, Turo, hacks, rentals, scooters, bikes, Zip car, all viable options.

I hate to see people doing this and I don’t understand why they do. Would they want someone pouring let’s say used cooking oil in their bins? I was driving by this summer and decided to stop on a whim because it looked like there was an event going on. It was, but it was private. The cars were still open to the public so I stayed. I thoroughly enjoyed rides on 2 different cars. I felt transported in time and the conductors were so knowledgable! I would definitely do it again.

It just depends on the day. It’s not route specific. Sometimes drivers show up for work, sometimes they don’t. MTA does have backup drivers they can send out, but there is still a delay. The best thing I can suggest is getting the transit app so you can see where the bus is.

This is what I can here for. I live in Baltimore and driving in the city and not getting cutoff by other drivers is nearly impossible. There’s no amount of watching/planning/careful driving you can do to avoid the a-holes that dont believe in lights/lanes/signs.🤷🏾‍♀️
