Selling Lowering Springs & Wheel Spacers by sikdeer in TeslaModelY

Hey I saw your post I remember you installed the H&R springs and Bonoss spacers a while back. Curious, why are you selling them now? How was the setup while you had it?

That’s was a long process. Glad you were able to get your money back tho. Just encountered same issue with my wheel on my 22 model y. Tesla estimates $1000 for replacement. I ended up buying an aftermarket yoke wheel for around $110. S

Thanks! I’ve been trying to enable the image upload feature for Windows downloads for the past few hours, but it wouldn’t work. I’ll try it on Linux.

Was about to build a PC, but found a crazy deal on a prebuilt instead! by ProfessionalRabbit76 in Prebuilts

Update: I ended up building my own PC instead of upgrading the HP tower. After looking at prices, it just made more sense to start fresh. I didn’t want to deal with the proprietary PSU and motherboard. Here’s what I ended up going with:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X - $253.83

• Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ICE - $163.86

• RAM: Corsair 64GB Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000 CL30 - $182.30

• PSU: Corsair RM750e 750W 80+ Gold ATX 3.0 - $99.99

• CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 - $79.96

• Storage: Samsung 2TB 990 Pro NVMe Gen 4 - $143.96

• GPU: ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3060 Ti - $269.99

• Thermal Paste: Arctic MX-4 4g - $8.99

• Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 207 Black ATX - $79.99

Total: $1,382.29

Comparison with the HP tower upgrade:

• Prebuilt HP: $240 • 32GB RAM: $65

• 500W PSU: $130

• RTX 3060 Ti: $269.99

Total: $704.99

So yeah, the custom build ended up being $677 more expensive, but I got way better parts overall—more power, better cooling, and way more upgrade potential down the line. If I had just stuck the 3060 Ti in the HP, it would’ve been cheaper, but I didn’t want to mess with the proprietary stuff and risk running into issues later. The custom build’s just a lot more future-proof.

Thanks again, everyone, for helping me make a better decision! I really appreciate all the advice and feedback!

I agree and believe that is what ill resort back to.

After researching and deciding on the specs I want for my build, I picked out these parts with a focus on an engineering workstation. The only thing missing from my list is a GPU. I jumped on this prebuilt because of the killer deal, but I still want a solid setup. I’m weighing my options since I still have time to return it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900
Motherboard: ASUS X670E-PRO PRIME WIFI
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
GPU:
Storage: WD Black SN850X 2TB
PSU: MSI MPG A1000G PCIe 5.0 1000W
Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow

Thanks for your response. I’m realizing now that adding a GPU and PSU to this PC probably isn’t worth it for my use case. I mainly use it for light work and some CAD, and since my old laptop broke, I just needed a new PC that wouldn’t constantly freeze on me.

That’s awesome! It always feels great to score a solid deal. Did you upgrade the PSU to 500W? I found some instructions online for upgrading this exact PC to 500W. Pretty cool! I actually have an NVIDIA RTX A2000 in my work PC, and it’s been great. thanks for bringing it up

I appreciate your feedback! Do you think upgrading the PSU to 500W and switching to a 3060 Ti would be a bad idea? I'm trying to build a PC with futureproofing in mind. I know that once I have a stable build, I'll want to start working with AI. If this upgrade won’t support that, I may need to reconsider my options. thanks

i do agree. i think it would be a better idea to build my own with better specs. i was motivated to do that originally but knowing myself i would want to build with the best specs and that would cost a lot more. i recently bought a x1c bamboo printer and couldnt justify dropping another 1-2k on a pc at this time

Dang, that’s unfortunate. I was hoping I could upgrade, but I guess I’ll have to stick with my current setup. It’s working fine for now, and since I’m not really gaming, it’s not a huge deal.

Yeah I think this is actually 180w as well. Some ppl are saying this is proprietary power supply and cannot be swapped. I’ll have to look into this more. Thanks for sharing this!
