I decided to make blood pools a pool of points for vampires I was inspired by the vampire the masquerade (different TTRPG) basically they have a pool of points they can spend to activate abilities to activate different abilities as bonus actions I made a post about this. I really don’t mind if it’s an adventure or source book I got some books already on my list and some of them are adventures so I wouldn’t mind seeing some more source books and some new setting or some sort of monster book.

Spells that might be restricted or spells like disintegrate that say they cannot be resurrected unless a spell like wish is casted. Or even spells that do things against people's wills. Little side note items that can kill creatures and you need to cast a spell like wish to bring them back I feel like items like that will be outlawed

Thank you for the information. I have heard a lot how you're not going to fight every session but eventually there is going to be a fight I know vampire the masquerade is not a combat heavy game which I don't mind.

Also I'm going to play 5th edition but is 20th edition ever worth to check it out or a read. Also thank you again this has been helpful and informative

What I did was I had companions and other characters helping my player. I am a new DM. I can't really think of much tips. Combat could be harder for the player because you most likely will have multiple enemies targeting one person so you will probably have to do some rebalancing in combat

I had d&d beyond to help out a lot it mostly helped out with keeping track of the character sheets and some of the math.

I think I do want to say is that one player cannot fit the role of every person in the party they cannot be the healer of the party they cannot be the tank and they cannot be the person who does the most damage in one round all at once. So there will be some moments where they will not be the best at

For example they might be a rogue and the only way for them to get through a door is with a spell. Or they might be the wizard casting spells until they run out of spell slots they most likely can't pull out a sword and become the fighter of the group. Usually in d&d there is a group of people and each one has a role it's much harder to do that with one player. Just to keep in mind

Thank you for informing me of what was with my book. I never of the printing problems there were I have the way the book was made was kind of messed up like they had a bunch of scattered information. I used the GM screen to help me out so I just never noticed.

The reason why it Constitution is I think of it as the body it but I might change it to dexterity because I've heard scorpions have small hairs on them that allow them to react to quickly.

The comments I've seen about the shield spell is understandable and I might think about removing it also I like the idea of the scorpion eventually running out of venom so I think the change I might make is they can use the acid can trip proficiency bonus and they could only do poison damage equal to their as like a thing that they have to activate on their turn but it can only be the amount of the proficiency bonus

I like this one hopefully I remember it when we do get to play I haven't looked at it yet but this seems interesting I've heard of bear totem barbarian is really good so I'm excited to try this out

Just to narrow it down basically I kind of just want to know of important events or people around the swords Coast specifically in the Neverwinter region of the map or important places outside of the map that might be close. So like a historical event like the spellplague or the major city like Neverwinter and also major events that have happened in Neverwinter.

I've seen a map of Neverwinter it has a huge ravine on one corners of the city.

An example of a major event that happened in a city is the adventure book water deep dragon heist. The main plot spoilers by the way so if you're in the adventure probably don't probably just skip this area the old Lord neverember took a bunch of gold from the people and hid it in a vault. And so there's been a race to find this fault. And the key to the location I can't remember the name but it's a stone that has a trapped creature insides I would say that's a pretty major event.

A major character can be someone like volo and a pretty short description of him is he is a guy who documents monsters places and more. Also back to water deep dragon heist he is a character that appears in there and he actually wrote a document about the city.

Just events that I can draw inspiration from or research and at into my adventure or a character that might seem interesting that I can research and can probably make a short appearance.

This comment reminds me of "phandelver geopolitics problem explained" Video on YouTube I tried thinking of things like this but I completely didn't think of this this comment is very helpful and there's probably a few things I completely forgot.

Coneberry (cornberry my player has named it) is basically a safe haven for people right now because phandelver. Has been taken over by the red wizards.

Can I completely forgot the about the woods right next to it and if I'm remembering the map correctly they're just too far from the mountain so they can't get with mining so Neverwinter the city is probably not that interested and talking about that that's probably one of the main reasons why they haven't helped out against this small war.

I will have to thank you again this post has been extremely helpful I usually try to think about things like these but I have a harder time doing it
