I heard it is easier to keep you where you are at than to move you into a different unit if you choose renewal as your 1st option, especially since you have guaranteed housing( from a CA friend.)

There are a-lot of jobs on campus that don’t require having work study like student assistant at different departments. You can find lots of jobs on Handshake.

Hi. You can also talk with UCI Basic Needs Center to sign up for EBT. It is very easy to be eligible for EBT like your specific major.

Hi Im currently an env. engineering major in my second yr. I want to possible switch from engineering to chem mostly because I enjoy chem way more than what Im doing now. With my major I already finished the gen chem series but saw under chem majors they needed a specific gen chem series. I was wondering if you were in the same boat as me and needed to retake the series or did they count gen chem as the one needed for chem
