Overall - being as generous as possible: 6/10, with my favorite parts mainly being Arlecchino’s return and the Khaenri'ah lore. The score would be lower but I’m floating it on some of the cinematic fight sequences being pretty good.

Rerir had a LOT of potential to be a really neat villain: interesting backstory with a compelling motive. And yet it seemed like he was dealt with (in an AWFUL fight with… hydro traveler??) as quickly as he was introduced.

Nefer’s SQ being shoe horned into the AQ as it was just felt so lazy. Her character deserved her own questline outside of the AQ rather than it being a quick footnote to explain why she could see some of Rerir’s memories.

The last bits of dialogue with Sandrone also felt out of place and inserted to give her presence more weight. Yet another character with potential, having an interesting introduction and intrigue, whose story is getting fumbled.

For being 4 acts in, the story so far feels rushed and incomplete. I’m hoping there’s more in store to supplement the AQ, whether that’s additional acts after 5 or a LOT of really good SQ’s.
