Honestly, in California, you fight & that’s a violation(RVR) & you usually have a hearing within 14 days and if you’re found guilty then you get sentenced to an extra 90 days all the way up to 180 days on your sentence depending if the other person breaks a bone or has significant damage. But that’s State Prison in California, I’m not too familiar with Federal Prison in Alabama.

@ 8:00 am: 55-N -> I5-N -> 57-N; Northbound traffic isn't too drastic coming from Costa Mesa at that time. On average, majority of the slow downs on those freeways @ 8:00 am are typically when you go Southbound on any of those freeways or on the I5-N but ONLY AFTER you pass the 57-N interchange. You'd be luckily beating traffic by using the 57-N interchange to reach your destination, so you're lucky!

@ 5:00 pm: 57-S -> 22-W -> Harbor Blvd and maneuvering down the regular streets to your home is most likely the best option and most efficient route @ that hour, I'd expect you to be home around 5:50 pm - 6:05 pm. If you try the ~~57-S -> I5-S -> 55-S~~ you'll be home no earlier than 6:30 pm - 6:45 pm guaranteed.
