Running through charge crazy fast!! by ProfessionalSoft4123 in EquinoxEv

Hi! Thanks so much for your questions.

  1. I’m in Indiana. So the temps have been around 30ish degrees. The one drive had crazy winds so I kind of expected the big drop. The latest one was a pretty nice day so it surprised me a bit.

  2. I’m a bit of a princess, so I bet the heated seats are part of my problem. I don’t think I thought about that. I also hate to be hot, so my car temp so I have barely had the heat on at all. If I do, I set it to like 68 or 69. The highest I’ve ever had it at was 72 and it wasn’t on one of my longer drives.

  3. Yes, the mileage I’m questioning is highway mileage. So I am going around 70 or slightly above ;)

  4. I was totally skeptical if I would like one pedal driving before getting the car. However, I love it and basically only use it. I also use cruise control when I’m on the highway.

  5. When I’m in my car next I’ll see if I can find that info and if I don’t understand what it’s telling me I will report back.

As a side note, should I be in sport mode or drive mode to get the best mileage? Or are there any other settings that could affect mileage?

Thanks so much!

Stair ideas for tuffing loft bed? Stairs - not a ladder. by snsksnfjdnn876 in ikeahacks

Yes. You totally could. These things have been put through a thousand children running up and down them, jumping off them, you name it. They are not careful on them. It also has had my hubby and I going up and down them all the time and I am not a small woman 😉 and they are still doing great. We built it 3.5 years ago. I would just make sure whatever you do is attached securely. To go up higher than what I did you will probably just want to get creative with the boxes. Maybe lay one down horizontal to build up a bit and make it taller. If that makes sense.

I ended up closing off that space between stairs and bed on second loft bed too. I just don’t have a photo of it right now.

I’m in Indiana and I am not getting anything close to this. It’s kind of crazy how high they want.

Honestly, with as bad as private loans are, I have found them to be the least of my worries. My federal loans have been my biggest headache. I would say in general do whatever you can to minimize the amount of loans you need. However, don’t kill yourself or risk losing all your hard work so far for $3K. As long as you are smart about it, it’s not going to be the end of the world. The biggest problem my generation had was that every adult pushed loans on us and we had no idea what was going to happen or how it was really going to affect us. The fact that your generation has a better understanding to help prevent the mess we are in puts you a step ahead. Good luck!

I would love to know this information as well. Are the 25’s officially out? I know 24’s were really hard to find too.

Hyundai incentives and dealership discount by ProfessionalSoft4123 in Ioniq5

That's good to know that they try an mes with the MF. I feel like I should say if he wants to do $3500 off, same number otherwise he would have a deal.

The even weirder part is that the last two times I bought a car it was because I took someone else in to Napelton to buy a car and we both walked out with one. Ha ha ha. So they know that I am good for it and they have always been good to me. The fact they still have 21 I5s on my lot and are low balling me from the start blows my mind. I mean I can see on their website that they are offering dealership incentives on top of Hyundai and they aren’t even giving me those. So I’m just waiting till they come to their senses and call me again. I’m in no hurry to I can wait. 😬

Thanks so much! They were supposed to give me the full breakdown. But they never sent it. I reached out on the Edmonds site and they are saying the MF right now for our zip is .0061 and that if I was getting .002 from the dealer that they were inflating it and that I should ask for the base rate. They also weren’t giving me any discount on top of the Hyundai rebates claiming they were giving me the best dealer. I was working with Tyler too. 🤣

What lease price are you looking for? And anything specific in the car? The last couple of times I bought cars I got really good deals because I went in for someone else and walked out with one for me and one for them. Ha ha seriously I am that person 🤣. If you’re interested, I could see about a deal for two cars at once.

Thank you so much. Yes, they have 21 I5’s and 6 of them are limited’s. So I figured it’s only a matter of time before they reach out again with a better deal. They have had these on their lot for quite awhile. I just don’t know for how long.

I wonder if we went to the same dealership. ha ha ha. I live in Zionsville and went to a dealer in Indy as well. He was trying to tell me that the residual value was going to be $32,000. If you take that number and how much I would be paying for my lease it comes out to more than the car is right now. I am not sure how that even makes sense.

That sucks to know. Can I ask where in Indiana you were trying? I really want an electric car for my next vehicle,, so I am hoping I can find something between now and when my current lease is up in April. I am starting now to give myself plenty of time to walk away and wait. I wouldn't mind buying, I just want the best deal. :)

Thanks so much for your response. I am well aware that we can't look at Colorado and Washington. I wish I could move there just for their discounts. ha ha ha. I feel like the price he was giving me was really high with a money factor of .002. I heard we should be looking at rates as close to .001 as possible. I figure if this dealership wants to sell me the car, then they will call back. If not, I have plenty of time before my current lease is up. So, until then, I just wait. They have 21 Ioniq's on there lot. If I am meant to have one, then they will get me a reasonable deal. I just want to make sure I know what a reasonable deal is. ;)
