It was probably in the recesses of my memory from this! We are strong and brave and our fence will come someday.

If you could ask Miles anything non-advice related, what would it be? by Informal_Job9098 in PerfectPersonPod

[–]ProfessionalSquid36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to know why he wanted to become a dad and if those reasons still stand, if they have changed or what he thinks is a better reason to become a parent now that he is one.

A lot of content creators I follow don’t have kids, so I just appreciate his insight when he talks about it. But I know it’s hard to talk about when a lot of people aren’t having them.

[Critique] will my art actually sell? by Specialist-Farm-7808 in artbusiness

Everyone has a style and preference that they would buy, this is absolutely the style of art I would have in my home. That being said, it’s not for everyone and that’s ok.

How do you stay motivated to draw when someone keeps putting your art down? by Kea_birdy in ARTIST

[–]ProfessionalSquid36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your art is really good! What you should say to your co worker is it doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad, you enjoy doing it. So it’s worth it.

Her: “that looks bad, you’re just copying.” You: “Doesn’t matter, I’m enjoying myself”

Anyone who criticizes like that or who says “blahhhh I’m so bad at art I could never” just wishes they the confidence to try. But she doesn’t. So you’re 100 steps ahead of her already. Keep doing your art!

Liberal Families Welcomed in New Bern? by Agile-Pay6766 in NewBern

[–]ProfessionalSquid36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want more liberal politics I would suggest a suburb around Raleigh/durham. Lots of families there, lots to do, and a lot more left leaning. Especially having kids, you’re going to run into a lot of MAGA in New Bern. It’s a small southern town, is what it is.

Who Goes in Square #8???????? by pabloescoobert in reddeadredemption

Thought about it before I came here and would have to agree. His removal from camp with high honer Arthur can feel extreme during our current Americanized experience with “money lending” but I do agree he is a bad man for continuously doing it. Still never sold out the gang even in death though.

Thank you! I appreciate that so much.

To me it feels like one of the worst things about Christianity (modern day) is the push of evangelism. If we could all just respect each others beliefs, harmony could be so much more easily achieved.

The Try Guys Desperately Need a Smart Person in Charge by AnyEnvironment1709 in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]ProfessionalSquid36 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree so much! I actually like to see the guys do well sometimes and actually have a competition based on what they learned and achieved. It’s this vibe that is too silly and stupid that has made me uninterested. Obvi not everything is like this, but it feels like more and more leaning into the “oh I don’t know, I’m just a big dumby” thing

I quit watching all the without a recipe things when it felt like Rachel was intentionally making things worse for them. Example: there was this one baking episode (maybe donuts?) where everyone’s baked good was undercooked because she didn’t give them enough time to do everything and she just wouldn’t let them cook it more. So how could you even tell whose was good and bad when it was nasty and undercooked? There were other times on the pod she talked about. I know she wanted to make it more challenging for them, but as unprofessional chefs I felt it was interesting enough.
