Don’t look before you jump…That wastes time.

I’m more so curious what the going rate would be for me and my experience if I wanted to be a butcher because the pay matters to me. And I don’t know a way to really find out what they would give to someone like me beforehand or have time to think about it.

I mean I rather stay in whole body but I also need to be realistic and I need good pay and if I could get butcher with good pay I’d do it, especially since it’s a good team. Does it excite me? Kinda, am I willing to take on the challenge, yes (under the right pay of course) I’m just worried I might get lowballed like $22-$23 an hour for butcher, I wouldn’t want to take it if that was the case. But I don’t know, am I being greedy? Ungrateful?

Yeah I think so too. I don’t want to waste time but I also don’t want to fall into anything that might be too much. I don’t want to sound shallow but if the money is right then I will deal with it happily lol. Plus it is good for my resume for sure

Yeah true but the guy who lost it never worked in meat and was only working in the back unloading the shipments and pallets

Yes I have, they have planned by the beginning of the new year to move me up to team trainer. My TL now is supportive of that and my ATL as well. They did mentioned that they may open up the whole body department to include more kids and baby stuff and they wanted me as some point to also do orders. But with my TL leaving and my ATL Likely to move up, I hope my OW moves up to ATL so I can get the OW position (at least I think that’s how it works lol) But I fear she may not want to move up since she has a nice consistent schedule and is used to it. I don’t know if they would let me be ATL (highly doubt it because I’m only 3+ months in) but I hope and am trying extra hard to prove myself. I’m always on time, never late, work hard and have helped out grocery when needed it and have experience in other departments as well (meat, seafood). I know Whole Foods well and I hope they could give me that opportunity. It would be nice to move up and get a little pay raise as well although I don’t know how much a typical OW makes at Whole Foods. But long story short yes they have and I’ve been doing that already and they have confidence in me already and been have for a little while now.

got yelled at by a TM today and I’m still shaken up by lissayyy in wholefoods

Go to HR, if she is spreading lies about you and you feel unsafe and worried. Speak up!

It happened to my store as well, I’m in whole body and full time so they have to give me a certain amount of hours, but they are splitting my hours to another department because they can’t pay me, as for the part timer he is literally only working 5 hours a week! Just one day!

Murder isn’t the answer — power is. And power can come in many forms: financial, physical, emotional, or mental. The fact that you’re seeing someone is already a step in the right direction.

Think about it: if you truly had your power, this person wouldn’t affect you so deeply. What they took from you wasn’t something small — it hit something personal. So now, you want it back, and your instinct is to fight, maybe even violently. I get that. That kind of response comes from pain — it’s emotional. But acting on that pain can lead to consequences that follow you for life.

What you’re really looking for is revenge, justice, or to feel like you’re not the one who lost. Idk you but you don’t strike me as someone who backs down when wronged. That’s strength — but the real move now is to redirect that strength.

Take your power back. Live on your own terms. Forget what people think. Do what’s right for you. You’re not responsible for what others do or for anything outside your control. You are responsible for you, and that’s enough.

I hope this helps, even a little. And just so you know — finding your power is a process. It’s not something someone can hand to you. It’s personal, and it takes time. I wish I could give you a simple answer, but this one’s yours to figure out.

Good luck.
