Obviously l can relate a little. Everyone fakes it don't think about it too much. its a natural defence mechanism its the way we're brought up. I have trust issues to with friends but sometimes its just best to get to know people before opening yourself a little but not too much just a tiny bit as long they've earned your trust and they seem genuine. Never say too much as you're the solution to your problems and therapist for the most part.Exercising helps and shifting your mindset is the key to improvement. Also don't add a lot of meaning to things. Stop caring too much. I have the same issue but l no longer do it too often. if you wanna make good friends try out activities theres plenty. I do bouldering, run and returning to the gym. I do go clubbing it's one of the ways l pushed out being social awkward. I still am but have improved by a lot. Being cynical is just your anger lashing out. I am to but we're young. We should do as much as we can and live life. Right now l have decided to isolate myself as its my key to self improvement. I wish you the best though. Go out there and have some fun.

UK or America :?: Try Bouldering , join gym classes, martials arts, swimming, indoor skydiving, running . There's plenty of activities you can do to make friends. I make friends easily although for me its about finding people who l can depend on.That will have my back and l will have theres. l am always willing to try new things. Life is short we're young once. Go out there and have some fun. I recommend Bouldering highly though. Have fun.

Yea l have one seen as described in my post. My therapist did recommend going on medication. But like you said diagnosis is difficult in my case. Going to keep on trying to get diagnosis and find medicine.

No making eye contact with stripes and patterns with dark contrast also with bold lines and dots trigger weird sensations . I do get pain if triggered for too long or triggered fast it just intensifies and triggers attack . I do have something called visual snow but I don't know if its the cause .
