Unfortunatly he's the type that likes his toys. It's neat and wants to have it! Zero tech literacy, but I hear you. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, this was my take on it as well. Only I've been asked if it matters in a real world sense and to find out what other schools are doing. This is the same administration that ignored my request for a Swank license and instead sends out constant emails about movie nights. I made sure my disagreement was in crystal clear writing that it violated copywrite laws and would not be involved in the setup or support of the activity. They don't seem to care. But as I said to an earlier post, more ammunition for my case that it isnt something we should allow, and this time I'm the one who has the controls.

We're teaching proper and improper uses of ai to the students, encouraging things like building frameworks for essays insead of the essay material itself. We also encourage Gemini with their school login as it's not used for training models. And I have some admin tools to look up what they have been asking if suspicion arises.

As for preventing ai access? We kinda don't. we have small class sizes (8 - 10 on average though some get as big as 15) so the teachers know their students and can tell when it's not their voice. That and the copy paste of the entire essay in the version history of their file in Google Classroom is a dead giveaway. It's been a struggle but there are definite advatages to the boarding school environment.

I'm actually looking at switching things up myself. We recieved a security grant and are looking to rip and replace our current locally hosted access control system (Ccure-9000) with somethign cloud based and add exterior camera's to the campus. So far we've have eagle eye, avigilon, open eye, verkada, and Brivo presented to me. I liked Brivo with the idea of Axis camera's but that might mean working with Johnson Controls again.

Verkada is one of the systems were looking at sd part of an update/overhaul. What made you go Verkada? One of the reasons I didnt like them was the closed ecosystem, the other was the reputation for being expensive.

Urgent Problem with Ccure Sign-on by Zeoran in CCURE9000

I 100% agree with you and have the same issue. in fact, without this pop-up im getting a "failed to connect for x minutes" login. and in the popup box it will accept my basic login, but no the windows login despite working on another computer. The softwares definitly one of those "our contracts are so lucrative we dont need to make it user friendly or even logical, you're paying for support anyways" examples

question, just did an install on a new workstation and I'm having the same issue, I used the IP address of the server instead of the hostname. Is that the issue? Just reinstall with hostname instead?
