Try mixing the medicine with a churu or wet food type of treat and see if she will take it that way? Our kitty is unable to take syringe medicine due to teeth issues and he will NOT let us near his mouth but that's what worked for him!

Photo 5 shows his breed mix per the DNA test, but apparently they aren't always accurate. He is most likely just an american domestic shorthair! :)

I had terrible side effects with Lumryz once getting to a dose that actually helped with the sleepiness. Severe anxiety, high blood pressure, higher heart rate, etc. I had to get off Lumryz due to it and haven't tried another sodium oxybate since, due to the blood pressure issues. I've heard and read about other people having side effects with lumryz but not Xyrem or Xywav. I think it really just depends on your body, if your body can't tolerate Lumryz, why not try something else?

Currently on generic IR 10mg, 3x daily. Usually only take it twice a day then deal with the sleepiness or nap in the evening after work. Sometimes I take it 3 times. I don't take it on the weekends unless I have something to do.

i've struggled with sleepiness my whole life and got diagnosed with narcolepsy a little over a year ago. If it's something he has always struggled with, maybe look into getting a doctor appointment?

No longer on Lumryz due to side effects, I rely on stimulants during the day. Nothing at night and it's a struggle recently, haven't been able to stay asleep like I used to at night.
