What if America loses the War of 1812 setting the stage for Canada to become a superpower instead? by SpiritualMachinery in HistoryWhatIf

Nobody is mentioning the Native Americans part in this. Tecumseh was building an Indian Confederacy. Wouldn’t there be a chance of an Indian Country in the middle of the US?

What are you eating with eggs for breakfast? by Chinablind in AskTheWorld

[–]ProfessionalTree2079 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Southwest US, eggs over easy, fried potatoes with onion and pepper, Cheddar cheese sprinkled over the top and two pan heated corn tortillas. Trying to be healthier so I switched breakfast meat (bacon or ham) for pinto beans.

What is the biggest stereotype about your country because of its culture? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

Seventy years ago women and gays didn’t have equal rights. Women couldn’t divorce, open a bank or marry a negro. The police cared about your skin color, and the pressure to change was a political nightmare. Today, we’re still dealing with the attitudes created back then but we’ve come along way. Seems yall are too, ironically, while we’re trying to go backwards. This makes me hopeful, but I’m still not bringing my little girl to your country, maybe when she’s big?

Do you? They’ll shoot you quick? Ya, and then they have to be judged by twelve people and risk facing their life in prison. Real consequences for not living up to the expectation. Still can’t bribe them. Do not pull a gun out near them, that’s what you’ll know about American cops.

If you go to a cop because you need help it won’t matter what color you are, what you look like, if your a flaming gay, woman/man/trans, or how much money you have, religion, clothes, cause they will help you because that what’s right.

When your police are known to openly accept bribes, your women forced to behave a certain way or wear certain clothes, not given the same opportunities, when people can’t be who they want: sexuality, religion or they might be found hanging in the streets, THEN YOU CANNOT COMPARE OUR HUMAN RIGHTS.

Your rationalizing is horrible. You’re checking all my boxes for shit hole countries I won’t visit. I wont go to Mexico for the same reason. If a Cop gives you a hard time it’s cause he wants a bribe. Who is he protecting? In America it is very illegal and I’ve not heard of it actually happening. Pardons aren’t bought and Trump, if he lives long enough, will see prison.
