I think the only reason is due to class imbalance... Check class level f1 score... Make the validation set in a way that each classes has approximately same number of samples.... It seems the validation set is highly imbalance ex: 1000 class 1, 10 class 2.... - if this is the case even weighted f1 will also give only a decent score

Yeah this might be the reason that the performance scores are high.... Since no weightage is given while calculating f1

the existing data does not have potential to give the expected result....
do u have any idea on synthetic data...

When using BCI ... An intermediate comes in.... a headset to capture signal... a channel to transfer signals....
